Hi to everyone. I'm not a french-speaker and wish i could understand what Xavier is saying. I understood he"s reading a letter. So emotional and touching, in the end he could barely hold a cry. Gaspard is my fav french actor, this wound will never heal, this loss will never be replaced. Trying not to think about too often cos it hurts so much. RIP our french angel

Tellement exceptionnel et bouleversant ce Xavier Dolan ! de partager avec tant de talent et d'émotions pures cette profonde tristesse de voir partir si tôt ce jeune et talentueux acteur Gaspard Ulliel. On est tous encore je pense bouleversés et tellement touchés par cette fulgurante et injuste disparition. On aimerait tant prendre un peu de sa peine pour qu'elle soit moins lourde. Oui le mot est juste et bien approprié. C'est bel et bien insupportable de perdre ce Gaspard exceptionnellement talentueux et d une élégance à tous niveaux. Penser à lui est douloureux car c est insupportable C est ce qui s est traduit il me semble lors de l hommage de Xavier Dolan. On le comprend tellement. C est dur. C'est une grande perte pour le cinéma français et le cinéma mondial. Il faut des années à certains acteurs de seconds rôles pour être reconnus des acteurs majeurs, par défaut car les meilleurs sont partis, je ne les citeraient
pas par respect. Chez Gaspard Ulliel c'est la trempe d'un M.Brando, d'un J.Dean Trois films leur suffisent pour percevoir leur potentialité. Gaspard, avait tout pour réussir, les récompenses de toutes sortes l'attendaient, hélas il ne sera pas aux rendez-vous. Pour notre plus grande tristesse, la nature est injuste. Une pensée pour sa famille, sa compagne, qu'il repose en paix. Il manque déjà à l'appel. Merci l'artiste et respect.

qui me touche, je ne m'attendais pas à cela, mais votre geste de tendresse en déposant vos offrandes sont tout aussi profondes. J'ose espérer qu'avec le temps les médias lui rendront des hommages régulièrement, je peux voir qu'aucun effort n'est fait pour raviver la mémoire des anciens disparus.

Hello, I’m not a French speaker, but I understand that this is a massive loss to French/Quebecois cinema. Juste la fin du monde is one of my favorite films of all time, and Gaspard’s role was oscar-worthy.

Je suis également très touchée que Xavier Dolan se soit adressé, par cet hommage, à la Maman de Gaspard. Les parents de Gaspard ont perdu leur merveilleux enfant unique...qui pourrait se remettre d un tel drame? Ils se sont effacés avec énormément d ' élégance lors des obsèques de leur fils pour que l' essentiel soit focalisé sur leur petit-fils évidemment fragile et innocent . Il est juste de penser à eux qui encaissent le plus lourdement la disparition brutale de Gaspard et pour ma part je pense aussi fort à la formidable Vicky qui perd son grand Amour.

Bonsoir, Gaspard s’était fait tirer le portrait en 2018 par Renaud Monfourny, photographe de l’agence Leextra et cofondateur des Inrocks à l’occasion de la sortie du film underground “9 Doigts” du réalisateur F.J. Ossang.
On le voit avec son éternelle allure élancée, gilet a grosse maille avec une clope au bec fraîchement allumée, nonchalamment calée entre ses lèvres, le visage candide et le regard grave, frontale, enfin presque. Car on remarque qu’il fixe juste un point à côté de l’objectif, il est présent mais il nous échappe, subtilement. On ressent une proximité et une distance touchante. Le photographe raconte que Gaspard Ulliel s’était spontanément allumé une cigarette et c’est un geste qui a beaucoup plu à ce photographe qui aimé laissé une certaine liberté à ses modèles et qui apprécie particulièrement les images où les modèles fument des cigarettes, savent même fumer des cigarettes, ce qui n’est pas ce qu’on aurait appelé certaines icônes du cinéma. On pense bien sûr à Bebel donc Jean-Paul Belmondo mais surtout à James Dean qui vient immédiatement à l’esprit. Déjà par rapport à leur destin tragique, mort injustement si jeune mais aussi par leur indéniable belle gueule si souvent accompagnée d’une cigarette qui leur confère un air un peu rebelle. La sidération est générale. Beaucoup de photographes ont croisé son chemin, beaucoup ont fait par de l’authenticité avec laquelle il se prêtait au jeu du portrait.
