- I was so shocked by the effects the Laquer had on the iridescent film! I promise I was not planning that, but I'm so glad it hapened! Life always has unexpected way of surprising us like that lol! I really love the texture the water has and I'm so in love with the holographic water!!! I've loved doing all my iridescent beaches and playing with their texture so make sure you check out some of my other videos to see what else I've done with iridescent textured beaches!

So amazing!! Do you know if I can paint with oil painting on top of the vinyl? I have some ideas with it but I use oils haha
I just watched again..... the run offs.... didn't all disappear, the ones that you can see have given a wicked 3D effect... now I have to try. I already have holographic paper stuff and run off, I just need to get the cellophane. It's even more beautiful the second watch. Xxx
You're so amazing! Thank you so much for saying this! I'm so excited to see what you create!
The waves are amazing - what did you use to get the bubbly effect for the waves??? It is stunning!!!!
thank you so much! Alcohol Ink (I used Ranger Brand) is your best friend for getting lacing in your waves!
Gorgeous, beautiful work. What is the sand, land made of. It has such an organic feel to it. Gorgeous..gorgeous..thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you so much! The sand was just some black sand I bought at dollar tree. I added some holographic black glitter to it and mixed with glue to get it down.
@@CBrinleyArtistry ah ok smart
WOW! thank you for the tutorial - would it work on a canvas - or do you think a board is neccesary?
Oh you could definitely do this on a canvas! My only concern would be how well the vinyl would stick to it. So, my advise for doing it on canvas is to only have the vinyl and film cover the front and not wrap around so that you can have to resin run off and seal it down. I hope this helps :) And thank you so much for the kind words!!!
Did you get the holographic with the adhesive from Amazon?
wonderful effect, isn't experimenting amazing!
omg yes!!! I love to think of art a science sometimes lol you just have to experiment!
Just curious why use vinyl and film. Gives it extra effect?
Hi! May I ask why you add some clear iridescent film on top of the vinyl since the latter is already very colourful? Thanks!
it was blue iridescent film that used to add some color on top of the holographic background and then as it dried onto the canvas it rippled and gave the water texture
Hi I’m trying to make an iridescent canvas.. should I use this same technique with the foil and what’s underneath? I’ve been doing research and I can’t find anything
It depends what you're going for. I Put the film ontop of the holographic vinyl and used lacquer spray as adhesive because as the lacquer dries it shrivels the filter even further giving it nice texture for the beach scene. If you just want an iridescent canvas or background I'd just use regular glue and glue down some iridescent film (I get all mine at Michael's by the wrapping paper). You could also paint the canvas black and glue down the film I think that might look really cool! I hope this helps! If you have any other questions just let me know!
