    Don’t change the constitution. There is a simple way to grow the economy. Stop making it about race. Stick to facts no matter how ugly. History is there to learn from. If you want to double our economy it takes a few simple moves. 1. Kill BEE as it’s based on race. 2: For every person that is hired and registered as a tax payer the company receives a % tax reduction. Government grows tax base and SARS have a new productive member. Company will hire as it’s in there interest. Everyone wins. 3: Have a special court to deal with government corruption immediately and not drag stuff on for years at the expense of citizens. 4. Political parties shouting hatred get there political status removed and dealt with as per the law.
    Most people just want to get on with life and move forward. This can only be done by common sense not race baiting.

      Bernard Mew I don't agree with your view on point #1, the BEE seeks to include black people into the economic cake, the politicians might have abused it but it remains a fact that most black South Africans who are not politically affiliated also benefited from it.

      Sandile Faith Nkuna Unfortunately not everyone can be a director or manager. A manager is only as good as he’s workers. Workers are only as good with good management. Government has everyone believing they are directors without any or little qualifications. Why not work up through a company. Why base it on race? BEE has only enriched a few with massive declines to the poor. As much as I appreciate your view but we need to look at facts. People need jobs not empty promises. Work up through the ranks and it will mean far more to a person. BEE was a fantastic thing to do for 10 or 20 years. Or how long would you like it to go on for before it’s actually just discrimination and racist? Being honest with one’s self is not a bad thing my friend. Own it and do something about it. BEE just doesn’t work anymore.

      When u r one of those prieviledged individuals,your perception of reality in SA becomes skew n u tend to think that everyone is in the same level of being prievee as u are...let me tell u,our people have been disadvantaged n discriminated against for so many years to such an extent that the scars n results of tht persecution are still felt today,the constitution shall be amended in order for our ppl to have their land back n work it as they deem fit...as for the BEE it is a form trying to redress the past,to give our peple an economic opportunity,which in the past was only in da hands of few whites tht are priviledged jst like u

    • @Speed-shooter
      @Speed-shooter Před 5 lety +3

      Thenjwayo Mzwakhe I hear you but bee is simple not giving people jobs. Surly you can see that? So let’s have bee and have no job? That doesn’t make sense. I get the pain. I get the past. I get all these things. Which one would you like. Provide for your loved ones or have racial laws and not able to provide? This country is so obsessed with color you can’t see logic of cutting your nose to spite your face. Anyway my remarks are on trying to build and give suggestions not fight. Our decisions our children will have to live with. Make sure it for right or wrong not color.

    Mr. Ramaphosa. You should be talking about "the redistribution of confiscated or unlawfully gained land". The language is decisive regarding international trust and the impact that has on the economy. Look at the value of the Rand and what that has cost the country. Look at the number of companies that have decided not to invest in South Africa because of the uncertainty in regard to your theme "Distribution of Land without compensation". The terminology "Distribution of Land without compensation" has a negative cognitive impact and leads to disinvestment. The Government has failed in its promises to provide housing to the majority of South Africans and is now embarking on a road to nowhere situation in order to ensure their success in the next election. There are serious issues with corruption in your Government that have not been addressed. If they were, I am certain, the Government would be able to finance and profit from the new ventures you are proposing. Mr. Ramaphosa, tone down your language and try to be realistic.

    The President weaves a spell when he talks. It is a style that draws you in to see his perspective as reasonable and the best course of action with his hynotic swaying and cadence. This is a very practiced style. I like the fella, but a man is known by the fruit of his labor.
    Is S. African Life better or worse under his leadership?
    Can he control his corrupt party?
    What isn't he revealing about the China deal and the particulars on land reform. All that isn't good enough. Where is his staff putting orgainizational charts on the screen showing how he has worked out the details and where the money is coming from to facilitate this process. How can this process most effectively reduce the crime rate?
    Put the people to work building their communities in massive labor programs. Create an internal credit system for a domestic construction industry. You can redeem them for Rand later, but as long as it stays domestic, you can create an impetus to build a domestic society that can fulfil it's own needs at the core level. You have all the materials, you just need knowledge and it's easy to get a few building professionals and use them as force multipliers. China did this to great effect but you have to taper off your building slowly to allow the workers to transition. This is a very productive use of state assistance monies and you can inject a financial bolus directly into the population. When people are sheltered ,clothed, working and fed crime goes down.
    From there you could export this methodology along with a work force across the entire continent.
    Get Busy doing something besides talking!
    It's been 24 years... why haven't you sent kids to school abroad to get the knowledge you need to properly farm? What are you people waiting on? They can come back and teach thousands. What have they been doing the last 24 years?

    No need to change the current constitution, the problem is not land, it is money.We can resolve land reform with constitutional laws and financial tools. For example, create a temporary blockchain currency with a public ledger that will be only legal tender for the purchase of land and give every matriculating South African an equal share of this new currency. Create a free and open trading platform for this new currency; land is constantly being bought and sold so the new currency will be in high demand. Make a law that all land (excluding buildings) must be resold in 10 years time at market value to anybody using only the new currency and the money being used for the transaction must be frozen for a month before the land transaction can be approved to prevent trading manipulation; all transactions will be recorded on a public ledger so anybody can monitor what lands have been resold and for what value with the new currency blockchain technology. You will be allowed to repurchase your own land with this new currency and then be able to sell your new currency into the open market which means over time this new currency will eventually depreciate to zero. Any land not resold in 10 years will be subjected to land tax, property may then be auctioned off to the highest bidder with a court order if the money owed for land taxes falls into arrears. A free, fair and open capital market with private property rights is the only successful path forward.

    I see *alot* of comments saying "Whites were not oppressed in this country so they don't get the land". Wtf. The Boers settled the land. Farms, houses, medicine, improved laws, economic growth and tools were all brought from the colonists. Literally every tribe in Southern Africa (except the Sancoi) migrated to these colonist's space. The food and improved living conditions increased the population tremendously and so a United country was formed. Apartheid was bad but the original idea for it was to keep everyone with their own cultures (which people tend to still do today), so apartheid wasnt the problem, but racism in the government was (giving special privileges to white people). Bottom line, the land was settled by a new nation (boers), they keep the land they worked hard for and died fighting for against the British.
