  • Hello everyone,
    I'm writing this description after posting this video 10 days ago almost 😅
    I feel like no one See's, so i mainly skip this part
    I'm writing now, bcoz you guys want me too
    so here I'm ✨
    RECIPE for homemade air dry clay
    measurements I used in this video
    3 cups of cornflour = 3 cups of fevicol
    1tbsp of white acrylic colour
    1tbsp of refine oil
    I don't use vinegar, you can see the reason in the video
    I also don't stick to exact proportion everytime, sometimes I want to add more colour, oil and sometimes I even change the equal proportion of cornflour and fevicol.
    As I'm making this clay for over 3 years now. I like to do some experiment on them
    if you are beginner then follow this step as I did the same 😅
    as you get more experience than you can change this acc. to your needs, and sticks to the proportion that's work for you☺
    Enjoy making✨

    Howp do you make perfect circles, mine loses its shape when i try to pass it through the stick

      I'm making this beads over 3 yr now, I learnt on the way..
      If it's losing shape while passing then let them rest for half hour or 1 hour this will make upper surface dry
      Then pas through stick slowly, not just push stick into it but spin as you go

      @@stayblessed81 mine is hommade cold porcelain clay. I tried this method, but the inside kinda sticks to the needle when I pass them through, and the outside which is of a slightly harder surface kinda cracks a very tiny bit .
      But I never tried spinning them, I'll try spinning instead of a straight linear motion, thank you

    • @stayblessed81
      @stayblessed81  Před měsícem +1

      drop of water helps to remove little bit of cracking. I used this technique in my baby whale video.
      And while spinning if you feeling that it's getting sticky, pull it out then clear your needle and go back again.
      I also did this in the video

    I'm using vernish. But it doesn't keep my charms waterproof.

    • @stayblessed81
      @stayblessed81  Před měsícem +2

      If you want your charms to be 100% waterproof, resin is the best option.
      Varnish is for protect from dust and also for shine, it's not 100% waterproof but it does help to certain point
      Also when dry clay gets wet they dry quickly as well, if you let them dry

    Hi one query for not so soft consistency what you have done? To get the consistency as per you what change have you done in it? Have you ever tried readymade airdry clay like of jovi etc, if so which brand you have tried?

      Hi... For that i prefer my clay bit hard to the point where I can't make perfect tear drop, it's where i find more control over clay.
      Not yet, I only worked on homemade clay

      @@stayblessed81 thank you so much and at what stage do we get the hardness where we dont get proper teardrop? Because as you say when it's perfect teardrop the clay shrinks after its dry.

      At 3:44 in this video.. That's the stage I prefer the most.... Shrinkness also depends how thick and thin your work is, some little things here and there.

    Can i use fevicol SR instead of fevicol MR

    • @stayblessed81
      @stayblessed81  Před měsícem

      I used fevicol marine initially as I had some left over after our home construction...
      But when I start buying glue for clay, I only used fevicol MR.
      So, I can't say for sure

      As you can see in the video, I don't use vinegar.
      Basically vinegar is a preservative that makes clay last longer.
      If apple cider vinegar also has same property as vinegar, then you can use it.

      It's my personal opinion from my experience, that when I work on that soft clay especially thin ones, they dry uneven...maybe it's also depend how I make clay
      I saw other artists work and they make great things.
      It's just this type doesn't work for me🥲
