Thank you for the Rolling Quartz reaction. This song, Azalea, is a cover song. It's no wonder you felt the 70's vibe from this song. The original version of this song is a melody that has been in Korea since the 1970s from an unknown author, and was arranged and released by singer Maya in 2003.

Thanks for reacting to Rolling Quartz. The whole band is really talented and still remain humble. They just finished a US tour recently, but I'm guessing from the response they got that they will be back soon. I hope this means you will react to more of their music.

Five very talented ladies! They have lots of great songs!

at first i watched the production of their videos and thought "another idol band" but after some research found out they are real and independent band so not bad at all

The lyrics of the song use the azalea flower of Kim So-wol, the great poet of Korea.

Hi, Tim! I was the one who posted the video of "Lovebites - Bravehearted (1st Session With New Bassist Fami)" that you reacted to just the other day. I liked your reaction so I was looking at your channel and saw you were also reacting to Rolling Quartz. Here, you reacted to "Azalea" by them, but as some others have alluded to already in the comment section here, this is not an original song by them. Just like the song you reacted to from them after this, "Sing Your Heart Out" (the real name of that song is actually "Song of the Heart"), this is actually a cover. The original was released in the early 2000s by South Korean Rock singer Maya. Maya's original was a huge hit in South Korea, which is especially impressive considering that Hard Rock and Metal don't usually sell well in South Korea. Maya's original "Azalea" was such a hit that it produced many covers by many different Korean artists throughout the years, so Rolling Quartz was just another in the long line of artists that came to cover the song. I've seen in other video reactions that you've done to covers that you note it in the titles of the videos. That's great since it's worth acknowledging the original artist when reacting to covers. So, I think it would be beneficial to update the title of this video to acknowledge and credit Maya, like "Rolling Quartz - Azalea (Maya Cover) MV and Live Reaction"

Cool. Good reaction video. I was at that live show. Front row in front of Arem the bass player. I can confirm this a band is incredibly fun to see live. A favorite of mine now! Definitely check out song fearless. Gonna see them again on Oct 8 in Korea.

Thanks for reacting to these ladies, Tim. Hard rock/metal isn't nearly as big in South Korea as it is in Japan. I feel like these ladies don't get the attention they deserve (although they did sell out every show on their recent US tour). They just dropped an MV for their brand new song, "Fearless", recently (no live version yet). Also check out another all female band from Korea, DIH. They've got a great sound. Their single, "Not Enough" is a good starting point. For live, look up "Paranoia/Answer Me".

  • @waynebenedict5785

You should try "Fearless" next from Rolling Quartz!

    Good reaction. 🖖❤

In early Led Zeppelin, you can hear the squeak on the strings, like Whole Lotta Love - it’s the link to reality!
