    Great build video and perfect timing! My last part should be here in two days and I'll be building this also. Question... On your Betaflight Ports tab, I see USB VCP and UART1 are both set for "Configuration". Why is this? I was hoping there would be two hardware UARTs available. I wanted to see if I could add a GPS, so my plan was to use UART2 for the TX/RX on the GPS and UART1 (TX only) for my ImmersionRC Ghost receiver. I can use the Ghost receiver to directly control the VTX via Tramp. Now looking at the config you have, I'm not sure this will work. do you have any advice?

    • @TweetFPV
      @TweetFPV  Před 3 lety

      The reason why there is MSP and uart 1 are selected as "configuration" is because there is built in WIFI for using the speedy bee app. So you will only have 1 hardware UART available on this board. i do not think that this FC is going to work in the way you would want it to work for your intended setup.

    Very informative build video. Great work on follow-on carbon fibre frame as well.
    Without going done the what-if rabbit-hole of doing part mods (to this build); wondering what your thoughts are on a 2S-18650 powered build? Seems 2S would eliminate the low voltage VTX/video power issues, but add another 45-50g (18650 weight). Know the Rekon-4 and Flywoo Explorer, both 4" will fly on 3S and 4S, but that's better fitted to using a pack vs single cells.
    Really like the idea of a 2S-18650, so hoping someone has figured out a good motor+prop configuration?

    • @TweetFPV
      @TweetFPV  Před 2 lety +1

    Hi Dan, great build video! Question: Do you think this setup would work with HD split camera (e.g. Runcam Hybrid 2)? I've remixed DaveC original design so now the HD cam should fit, however, there is approx. 15-20g increase in AUW (new frame, HD cam, immortal T, foxeer mini lollipop..). Do you think this setup could deliver at least 10min flight time?

    • @TweetFPV
      @TweetFPV  Před 3 lety

      It will fly, probably not well. The Quad as is is already kinda heavy for the power train. You might get 10 minutes but It will be a stretch for 2 reasons. More weight and those HD board draw a lot of power.

    • @lukasmunster8908

    • @TweetFPV
      @TweetFPV  Před 3 lety +1

      There are no issues with fitment of the Zeus. so the diamond FC should be just fine since the footprint is the same but smaller than a normal AIO. But you will most likely need to mount the board 90 deg of center or upside down to allow access to the USB port. The camera will be fine for your setup, however the FC you have specked is only good down to 2.9v . You will be leaving a bit of flight time on the table since these LION cells are good down to 2.5v (depending on the cell).

Not once have I had warping/undue expansion/melting. Thats with plain ordinary PLA, cheap stuff from HKing.
