6 is mentioned a lot in the segments related to doctor who. 6 weeks of filming. paul says that he wouldve done it for 6 years. he also said that whether it be 6 days or 6 hours, you'd still be doctor who. 6 was also sort of signifigant in doctor who. the show started in the 60s, the doctor who movie was in 1996, 2006 is the tenth doctor's first series, and as of now, we're in series 6 of the revived show.
Paul is such a humble guy, especially since he must feel victimised by the fans who mock him or don't accept him as a 'proper' Doctor. I really wish he could be brought back for a bit in the new series.
@blofeld39 He's been acknowledged a few times, but only in flasbacks or whatever...so he is official, he is cannon...so I totally agree, Moffat needs to jump at it. Paul [and 8] deserve more screen time.
i met Paul Mcgann at First Contact Convention in Melbourne over the weekend he was very nice he said he had short hair prior to dr who hence the Wig he wasnt inpressed with have to wearing the wig hence the sour look on qny pictures of him as the Dr i dont blame him he was doing a role at the time needing him to have a hair cut .
@blofeld39 Definitely! a two-part episode, or maybe a whole three-part finale with 8 thru 11...or maybe just a huge flashback to the war...We need to see more Eight!
@StoliDassah I'd be satisfied with Eleven and his companion inadvertently meeting up with Eight right after the Time War; they work together for a while, without Eight knowing that Eleven is a latter incarnation of himself, and then Eight regenerates from "Time War trauma" (could be anything, really) three-quarters into the episode, and we get Nine's first chronological appearance for the final quarter. Nice, eh? ;-)
@Roboblob223 AND, if we take each actor's initials, change them into numbers (A being 1, B being 2 and so on) and multiply them by each other (e.g. William Hartnell, W and H, 23*8) and them add all of them up, we get 23*8+16*20+10*16+20*2+16*4+3*2+19*13+16*13+3*5+4*20+13*19=1571, and if we then multiply 1*5*7*1 we get 35. Now if we add to that the number of episodes shown directly after the Kennedy assasination (one), we have 36, which is 6 multiplied by 6 WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON
in an alternative reality doctor who came back in 1996 with paul mcgann and although even now i still dont know what to make of his doctor and it at the time didnt stop me adding the video to my other doctor who videos, it would at least be worth watching just to see where they took the full series next and its even possible that i maybe have preferred watching pauls doctor then the annoying doctor of christophers and he only had one good story and that was the one about the child wearing a gas mask, and the rest were simply not worth my time watching and its a real shame that doctor who didnt come back at first with tennant or even matt smith, hell it would be better still if perhaps they had givern mcganns doctor a chance, and although i`ve not really read many modern doctor who books at least pauls doctor got another life when all the books about his doctor came out, and what they did with the tardis set was finally impressive and for once gave us a sense of the scale and power of the tardis and off course of time lords there selfs.
did never even occur to RTD. honetsly paul mcgann woulda been the first person i woulda thought of. RTD always talks about how he thought a regeneration at the beggining would b confusing, wot about asking him if he wants to stay on, its not rocket science
I feels so bad for Paul McGann; I think he seriously feels burned by the "Who" producers for not getting a proper shot at the role, and so has been faintly embarrassed by his connection to it ever since. Come on, Moffat! What are you waiting for?
@batmanofni I understand that I just wished he bridged the cap between the classic and maodern who. I wished he didn't make it his own he didn't have the right to make a classic show which is beyond his imgaination his own. Eccleston was a brilliant doctor I wish he was in it more it is just RTD's ignorance over the classic show and lack of imagination and doumbing down he put towards it which really got on my nerves.
You were a great Doctor, Paul McGann, even if the pilot movie you were in wasn't the greatest. I hope to see you back for the 50th anniversary.
a great doctor
I Love Paul's Doctor!!!!!! It's because he was revealed to be half human in the movie. The audio adventures are amazing!

a series of movies on the Time War starring Paul McGann, ending with his regeneration into He Who Roots For Manchester United.

Make another movie with him and Christopher Eccleston, set it during the Time War ;)
OMG
i went to a convention literaly days before this interview and met him!
I would love it if Paul made an appearance in a new!Who episode, like in a multi-Doctor thing. That would be so cool.
It's Michael Winslow from the "Police Academy" movie.
@sisterofslaanesh666 a Time War movie with Mcgann would be too cool!
It's sorta annoyed me that they decided to have a "war doctor" and they didn't use Paul for the Time War. But heyyho
@blofeld39 Yeah! That would be awesome. And hopefully spread across two episodes to maximize the awesome.

@Korea4Me Paul McGann is joined by Michael Winslow from 'Police Academy' and James Kyson Lee from 'Heroes'.
@PrimusPrimal1995 I think he would've, too; he certainly does favour rectifying the continuity from the RTD years, so far... ;-)

@Shadow0faHedgehog I think he wanted to make it completly his own and he'd worked with Chris Eccleston before.
@Korea4Me Thank you for your quick reply. I thought that guy looked Korean! ^__^
@StoliDassah I doubt either McGann or Eccleston would be up for a double-header; hence, my idea just being a single ep. :-S
yea time war series?
@StoliDassah Yeah! Have a multiple Doctors episode, or whatever; show the post-Time War regeneration, etc... hop to it, man! :-P

heh, hes wearing a v neck and a jacket that "LOOKs" like ecclestons ik its not leather but y'kow...
@badhead LOL, i know right? Like "what planet are you from?"
Who are the other guests that appeared in this clip?
Perfume Ponce.

@PrimusPrimal1995 Steven Moffat, you mean? He seems a nicer bloke than RTD... :-S

@MagicMrNameless I rather he do another Hornblower series -- well set before his character dies that is.
BTW, is this filmed in someone's living room? I kept expecting someone in their jammies to walk past in search of breakfast ...
Whats up with that guy in the middle. Paul looks a bit freaked out by him.
heels, nice legs and a mini skirt.......... you expect him to talk ?
