I still cant fathom why bandai decide to make this kit a p-bandai, I mean they would make more profit just by making this as a normal set
Economies of scale. Mecha already said its main body is based off the lfrith. The main kit is already selling quite well, but demand for what is essentially a recolor with a new backpack is too niche.
As much as i hate that this thing is Pbandai, i understand why they'd go that route, more than the other Pbandai WfM kits. Unlike the Gundnode, this isn't a unique kit, it's just a recolor of the Lfrith with extra parts.
Bandai has an obsession to keep their product limited, making them more desirable. They did this with their other products as well. They marked this as Premium but it did not even have the pre-molded shell unit like the Lfrith.

I really love the blue shade on this, not to mention the overall profile without the gund-bits is fascinating. Its such a nice kit.

With this thing you could propably make a completeley white prototype-esque version of bunny-Lfrith as well.
the pods on the back definitely remind me of my Real Grade Sazabi (or just the Sazabi in general)
even down to the little gund-bits resembling the cylindrical Fin Funnels that the Sazabi used.
Kitbashing with this and Sazabi just got interesting

Oh how I agree about those bloody stickers - had to remove 4 of them and put ones from lower line in their place, so in the end only have 2 greens left on the sheet
Didn’t bother with jamming them in tho after first two failures, just layered them over the centerpiece
Whilst red ones jammed in easily and nicely on active bits

for the Chelonian bits, I commend you painting it in a metallic green to satisfy the finish product, and save your sanity from using the stickers
Ive got one from the second preorder window. Looking forward to building and posing it. Would love to stick the backpack (so so sick) on the normal pink and white lfrith. The all blue/teal is a great look but i think the backpack could be even more striking if it sticks out against the base mobile suit.
Okay I need to rant specifically about why this particular mass production mobile suit p***** me off that they decided to make it APB exclusive. The fact that in the prologue we had Suletta's dad pilot it, gave it his all to protect his daughter and wife, then started the Happy Birthday death trope and finally dead was a very powerful moment and since I love the Lrfith, I honestly thought we were gonna get the pre-production type just like you know most of the other gundam shows where we got the original gundam the gms the Zaku 2's all of them as standard releases right? Then which from Mercury officially ended and outside of the other grunt suits we never got the mass production type from the prolog specifically during that big battle as standard releases.....And THEN they decided to not only wait until the end of the series to finally make the pre Production type Lrfith a model kit BUT they make it a PB exclusive! Like I can understand the Manga exclusive mobile suits being PB exclusive but I don't understand why did they just randomly be like yeah let's make a good chunk of the model kits based around specific grunts even though they're not based around certain characters as PB exclusives on top of the weapons for certain characters in season 2 and now this. I have to say that the witch from Mercury line was a time where this company went way too money hungry and greedy like come on.

As simple as it is, i absolutely love the beam rifle, it definitely looks like a sleek mass produced sci fi gun, and thats exactly what i want, a bit of painting to seperate the panels and maybe add a pop of color, and it might be one of my favorite designs
yeah, I do wish the stickers on the gund-bits were a bit smaller, I'll probably have to pick up some more markers in different colors so I can redo them with that
I love that this feels like a fusion of Gundam and grunt suit. It's a shame this thing is Pbandai but i still bought it because it's my favorite variant of the Lfrith.

I think MSVD youtube channel did a custom with the hg aerial and made a plaplate beam swore with the aerial gun effect, and dang it looks good
I love how the L-frith is the WFM version of the Astray line. You just get color variants.
Got this kit in the mail with varguil last week, love it!! Pre production fixes everything I didn’t quite like about the original lfrith design.
Also I built it with the normal lfrith parts (chest and head), and tbh looks even better! Puts together the best of both designs!

To be honest, when the chest part does not come with the in-mold permet score design. this shoudl've been a regular release as it makes the Lfrith more premium looking. plus the clear plastic isn't reflecting much of the sticker underneath it.

I was really disappointed when the first season ended and there was no kit for the Lfrith Pre-production, because it was the mobile suit I was most excited for to get a kit. I'm excited to soon be buying a few, and I also think the wing binders are going to be really cool for customs where you hollow them out and have them contain things like swing-out cannons, or spare weapons or swords, or honestly a lot of things
Those stickers remind me of the ones for the Mercurius and it's upgraded form with their planet defensors...

If your metallic red Gundam Marker is running a bit transparent, you haven't shaken it and primed the nib enough.

It's a shame the color is so opaque, it was what caught my attention about the model at first, I was expecting a color like the Graze Ritter (Carta Corps), or at least the Lfrith UR

if you think about it the back pack kinda looks like its carrying 2 caskets ⚰️
I know they are not for that, but I think of the red bits as shield bits (like the Mercurious from Gundam Wing had) and the green ones are the normal bombs/mines.
I don't know, it just felt like that to me when you put one of the red ones the Rigth arm of the Lfrith.

I absolutely love this kit, but the only issue that i have with it is the fact it doesn't come with a stand. They have a runnerless stand that comes with the calibarn and the gundnode, im paying around 35$ and they couldn't even put one in the box. If you want to put the backpack in any sort of pose it needs to be on a stand. I ended up 3d printing one because i didnt want to buy one lol
