    Inspired by the garbled audio that accompanies worn-out and poorly aged budget bin video tape, the T-120 Videotape Echo gives you exactly the type of sound that you're hearing in your head when you look at it.
    Feed your guitar through the T-120, and the recorded playback will be the sound of low bandwidth tape being fed haphazardly through a magnetic read head by an uncalibrated, unbalanced feed mechanism.

    Thanks for this vid. I never buy expensive pedals but, I took a chance on this when a batch was listed on the Demedash Reverb store. I can not describe how much of that tape warmth this pedal possesses. I don’t really need confirmation. I just love the pedal and you have one of the best demos I’ve seen. Thanks.

    I got the V2 DLX. It rules. This is a pedal that's offers 9 modulation styles, only 2 are normal. The only thing I noticed is a volume jump when engaged, no big for me. But putting the stereo outputs into a reverb where it's then summed to mono, don't work. I use it in mono. But aside from these minor qualms, this is my favorite analog delay pedal in the world.

  • @RaxFx

    I was so happy when we finally got rid of all those damm tape echo devices - had them all: Echoplex, Binson, Dynacord, RE-301 and they sounded like crap. The first analog delays were a godsend: consistent sound and didn't have to be protected by a crate full of pillows. Are we seriously wanting that trash sound back? I don't!

      I had a Dynachord and I thought it sounded amazing (I never used the echo, just the pre-amp), but I didn't want to take that thing with me all the time.
      But this is a great pedal (I think). There are some great clean sounds in it.

      The nice thing is that we can have both now, and today’s recreations of vintage delay units don’t require the maintenance that the originals did. More control over the sound as well. To each their own!

      Direct from Demedash these are $250 plus shipping. And he has batches sometimes in his Reverb store. This is much more analog sounding than Strymon. You can literally hear the sound of tape hissing and sputtering (there’s no tape.)

    • @jburdsinfuse
      @jburdsinfuse Před 4 lety

      scott3402 1+ year wait to buy direct. The only one on Reverb is $325 + shipping. I’m all for collecting cool pedals, I have an embarrassing amount. This one just felt a little thin in the features department compared to Volante and very similar in tone.

    • @RustyTonesJr
      @RustyTonesJr Před 2 lety

      The Volante does not go as far into this effect as the T-120. And it does not have the modulation like the T-120 V2. The Volante has multiple algos, but the T-120 V2 really hones it's nitch.

    Got one some time ago. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner when I turn it on. I tried it on different amps, even straight through the sound board, but the same result. I even talked to Steve Damedash himself and he says it's kind of normal, and that he gets that hissing vacuum cleaner sound on some amps as well. How do you get that clean sweet sound out of this pedal? Have you experienced some hissing with this pedal?

    • @pingapong64
      @pingapong64 Před rokem

      Possibly poor electrics on your guitars end. The pedal unintentionally amplifies noise caused by poor grounds or other electrical issues. I had the issue with my homemade SG. I switched to a Fender and never got noise again.
