They should have used younger actors for the roles in borderlands and cast the original voice actor for tiny Tina.
That Borderlands looks like they are trying to copy Guardians of the Galaxy way too much. Even got the old timey music.
This endless barrage of horrible, shallow, childish, unoriginal movies has become torture.
Over a decade of amateur tier crap and there is no sign of it stopping.
All done on purpose to weaken western moral and culture.
Out of Darkness was the only thing recently i saw that i though was decent, thoughtful, exciting, scary and generally had a decent narrative.
@@MrPiccolop Yeah, I kind of enjoyed it too BUT it had a predictable ending given the age of effeminate woke crap. Female character was the smartest. Girl boss fight at the end. Woman survives to teach her male kid how to be a "proper" human. No sir. Sick of that message. I was hoping they went full, Neanderthals are why we have stories about ogres and goblins and woodwose.
@@jimslade2050 The fact that the girls survived didnt bother me at all. It just came across as pure chance to me, except maybe for the heroine but from my experience there are women who are just as if not more brave than many men. I didnt think of it as a 'girl boss' fight at the end. I was thinking about the general message of the tragedy of misunderstanding, the power of fear of the unknown, the unfortunate collision of neanderthal and homo sapiens although cross-breeding was probably wide-spread.
You ruin your own analysis of the merits of it by focussing on these really silly and anodyne things. Until you mentioned it i wasn't really thinking it was about 'girl power'. lol
If anything i think the male characters were quite well done. And pretty much everyone was shit scared.

"A Mad Max saga" - Just a milking of a name / Rebel Moon - Basicly shows all the action scenes there is cause it got nothing else / Beetlejuice - Could be good / The Acolyte - A glorification of nothing / Alien Romulus - Not enough to even say anything about, could be awesome / Cash out - Feels like a run and scream / Borderlands - Builds of the creator of other films / The other films, I have no clue. Could be good, bad or the ugly :)
I thought this was my post for a moment. A couple of things though...Beetlejuice will be about as good as another other late game sequel they are pushing out these days, which is to say mediocre at best and Borderlands is following the new path of building movies off other other i.p.'s in that they don't understand what people love about it and will say something like, "We're not making it for the fans we have but the fans we want to reach." when in reality, like all of these, they're making it for the money.

"Damaged" looks like it's the only one with potential, but can't be sure with such a short trailer. "Harold and the Purple Crayon" seems interesting, and different, so it might be worth watching, but NO to the rest.

another alien bug movie. another remake of a remake. borderlands trying to be Guardians of the Galaxy. CGI fighting and CGI everywhere. The Fall Guy looks fun, Beetlejuice gets a chance again, but not much else looks worth a theater ticket.

They used water like we use it today, indiscriminately. And what of the creatures that make their home there? Did they conquer polution? One thing they really got correct was the civil wars.
I do like the story. It was refreshing to hear star trek from another prospective. But the shields thing got me upset. The "Shields are down by 80 percent, we can't take another one..
It was a great bit for me pass some idle time. I have to wait a few more hours to go pick up my wife so I'm going to listen to another one

The year 1999 gave us The Matix, Talented Mr. Ripley, Being John Malcovich, Iron Giant, Fight Club, Magnolia, The Virgin Suicides, Mansfield Park, Eyes Wide Shut, etc. The year 2024 is not a golden age of movies.

Okay I’ve just watched another movie clipped. It looks like it’s all superhero movies that didn’t quite work put into a blender and spewed up another sci-fi crap show unfortunately it’s a Schneider crap show.
So mostly more of the same instantly forgettable hollowed out zero substance movies , woke messaging, div hires & 150lb women effortlessly beating hoards of men 3 times their size. Tried and tested recipe for poor box office performing embarrassments.
Without Mad Max, I am not watching. Period. I do not care about Furiosa, I care about Max Rockatansky.
