REM: special ride aboard the new two wagon "short REM train" configuration - Sun., April 21, 2024 🚅

It was a special day on the REM today as the new two wagon short REM train configuration began for REM trains. As of today - Sunday, April 21, 2024 - two wagon REM trains will run on weekends and holidays.
Eventually two wagon REM trains will run during all off-peak hours.
It's important to note that the trains will remain the same frequency during these changes.
These two wagon trains are called "short REM trains" while four wagon trains are called "long REM trains".
Up until now, four wagon REM trains have run all the time. Two REM train wagons make up one element meaning you can walk between the wagons. Four wagon REM trains are compared of two elements joined together windshield to windshield.
In this video, we ride from Brossard Station to Central Station / Gare Centrale aboard a short REM train.
One of the things I like most about this configuration is the fact that if you are filming s video - or just enjoying a ride - you can walk to the open view windshield on one end to the open view windshield on the other end.
I will film a night version of the ride another weekend.
