Make a Leather Cross Body Strap for ANY Bag! (GIVEAWAY!!!!!)
We've finally finished our 500,000 follower giveaway project! This week we take you through making a full cross body strap that will work with any bag that has D ring attachments - you can get as simple or as fancy as you'd like with it! we take you through making a shoulder pad, doing a fully stitched section of strap, and an un-stitched section of strap. Just make sure to use a nylon reinforcement to prevent stretching!

@@Edward55221 any kind of contact cement will work for leather.
What I really love is that when I'm figuring out my own projects I can go through your videos and find little bits here and there that tell me how to do what I want to do. I'm making a shoulder strap for a cross body bag and needed some pointers. Hadn't even though of making it padded, so that's an extra win! Thanks!
I do the same thing!. I also end my search with Corter Leather to make sure that if (it) is there, it pops up first, lol.
Burnishing both sides of the strap with canvas, you just saved me a lot of time. Can’t put a price on that or your beautiful “give-a-way” bag! Thanks for the tip!!!!

How do you develop the refined look of the bottom side of the strap that touches the shoulder? Did you glue the unfinished sides together when you reinforced the pading?

I would use the tape more but it always gums up my tools:(.

In my workshop, when I put on ma leather, and rock to sum Metallica, Delta Parole, Foo Fighters or the Smashing Pumpkins I feel like I can do anything in the whole wide world.
So this weird fishook thing is just going to be gaping open like that as you carry it around outside? To catch all the rain, I presume?
In the last video we mentioned that if the winner wants a top closure installed, we have one ready - some people prefer an open tote though so we left it open for now until a winner is picked
