      @@AVPDS99 did you not watch this entire interview? There was about a ninety second commercial break where Jeremy was pitching a product but besides that it’s not possible for Steven Bardo to reach through the screen and shake my hand, just to be clear but what is possible is to view someone enough over the years to make a personal judgment that someone is a good dude.

    Bardo was my secret favorite player on the flying Illini.
    I think he could be a superstar national bball announcer. He's so positive and knowledgeable. I can't believe a major network hasn't snached him up.

      Steven does his homework. And I think Lou Hansen helped put that kind of ethic into him long time ago, and I think Steven would agree.

    Steve, Love your commentary and knowledge of the game. Any chance you can connect with Jalen and broadcast the Illinois/Michigan games again? You guys always worked great together.

    My son and I were watching the draft that night and just shook our heads continually at the teams that were passing on Terrence. When the Timberwolves finally took him we turned around and headed for bed because that was what we were waiting for. And he got on a good team. I think he's got a chip on his shoulder already, and that's always good with him, and his teams.

    Ty not having to chase little waterbugs around the court should do wonders to help him to be that much more effective on D

      @Gee2deDubya Před měsícem +1

      @Ricky-ej7ik That might be overly optimistic imo, but having said that, having a deep team means you can have specialists; maybe this'll be Ty's specialty.

      @@Gee2deDubya Makes sense. What do you think Ty’s numbers will be this year?

    • @Gee2deDubya
      @Gee2deDubya Před měsícem

      @Ricky-ej7ik I'd be quite happy with 10-12 pts, 5-7 rbs, 3-4 assts (not sure he'd need to up last year's assist numbers, given all the playmakers), 2 steals, 1 block.
      Those are numbers really similar to what Coleman put up this past year, in other words. If Illinois is really successful, and Ty has those numbers, it tells me he had a pretty good year, but he wasn't needed to carry the team in any one category. That also means other guys stepped up big time too, whether collectively, or via standouts, so big picture, I'm giddy with that, lol. All my opinions, of course.
