**UPDATE** - Toggling the timeline snapping is defaults to the "N" key, not to "S" like I had mentioned in the video. That is from my custom layout.

    Some cool functions are:
    1) Power Bins. They are really powerful. Allowing you to put your frequently used media into it, like memes, music, and sound effects. In a new project, you then pull the folders into the project master folder and are now able to search everything. It is much much faster than having to search everything in the windows file explorer. The structure could look like this:
    Master
    - audio
    - footage
    - memes
    - music
    - sound effects
    - stock footage
Having the footage in its separate folder makes the project explorer look really clean.
    2) Adjustment layers can be amazing to save time. Not just for color grading but I also put effects on them. For example, if I have static footage where I want to add a little movement I put camera shake on the adjustment layer do my settings once, and then put the adjustment layer into the power bin so I can always reuse it.
    3) If you have effects you frequently use with similar settings use the ability to save to make presets.

Organization is key!! 😂 I set all my clip colors to the number keys and F keys so when I’m cutting I just press one button and it automatically colors that for me. I have a system with those and when I review clips I know which color is used for what. Especially if you have gaming clips.

One of the things me and my coworker hot keyed is "Auto Align Clips By Waveform" and "Unlink/Relink Clips" Toggle. Super helpful if you're making a lot of short videos with external mic audio.
Also, keep premade intros and outros in a master bin if you're working across different projects!

If you want to reset the transform options after you moved something around (zoom, moved up, etc) when a clip is selected, double click the option you want to change. Example being if you want to reset the zoom, just double click the word zoom and it goes back to its original position.

Thanks for writing down the keyboard shortcut commands names. As the English isn't my first language, so it helps me a lot! Cheers!👍

Btw, do you know how to make a key board short cut to add a speed point. I can't seem to figure it out.

    • @dunnadidit
      @dunnadidit  Před 3 lety

I have run into a few things that it wouldn’t let me make a shortcut for. But basically, you can search in that keyboard shortcuts dialogue for “speed point” and see if it shows up, then click the little empty box beside it and actually do the shortcut you want to use.
