Diesels run at much lower rpm than gasoline cars. He blew up because he was running too rich of an air fuel mixture and his egt’s were way too high.

Nitrous can actually lower EGT on a diesel, because lean combustion is cooler in a CI engine.

@@kknocks2378 Well then it needed a progressive. It looks like was spraying 100% on the "hit". That is a big no-no on small displacement, stock bottom end engines.

@@cali2468 what do you do to a 1.9L TDI bottom end?? Other than changing out your crankshaft main bearing bolts.. Other than that i didn't think there's much you can do.. But I'm always wanting to learn more to if you know other ways let me know!

@@MiloIX The stock rods on an ALH are not that stout compared to the later BHW (PD) rods, swapping in BHW rods or aftermarket would be a huge help.

@@kknocks2378 People know diesels make loads of low end torque (and that they have a low rev envelope), but if you get a shot of nitrous too low in the RPM that's a great way to bend rods (especially if these are the stock ALH rods).
