As per my knowledge peepal tree gives O2 24/7 that is the reason these horror narratives are made to prevent the cutting of such an important tree
I have peepal tree just beside my house and have heard ppl (who used to live in our house) say they have heard footsteps at night in our house at night ,and we also have noticed our electric devices like fridge and ro and even light gets problem now and then even after installing voltage mediator and also one of my friends brother got possesed by munjya idk if that was true tho but still my parents don't allow me to go at terrace at night or when I have my period

I just watched this movie yesterday on theatre and I have to say they have done a commendable job with the direction and ofc, the production of India's first CGI character, Munjya🙌 I personally loved the movie...it was not at all boring and was so much fun! It was scary at some parts but believe me, the theatre was blooming with laughs😂 I enjoyed it so much that if I get a chance, I'll rewatch it without a second thought. Plus, Abhay Verma is a natural and has done an amazing job. Ngl, I'm obsessed w him now.

I have watched this movie in theatre and maddock films are out standing with visuals graphics and horror with comedy like stree , bhediya . Sound effects gives feeling of Tumbbad.

In Odia language( Odisha), we call Munjya as Jhinkaw/Jhankaw(ଝଙ୍କ/झंकऽ), they are said to know the location of hidden treasures living on peepal trees( Osta tree in Odia), which they will tell with a question. If you succeed in answering, then its good otherwise it will stick to you and torment you.
They are named so in Odia, because both Odia men and women used to wear silver anklets/Godhhi( ଗୋଢ଼ି/गोढ़ि) in the past but Jhankaw are those who didn't get to wear it( basically not experiencing the pleasures of childhood and adulthood) and died before 5-7 years. So, they also haven't undergone upnayan as well( Munje in Marathi, Brataghara in Odia).

Jay Jagannath bhai, jhinkaw and munjya are both different. U have told the story of jhinkaw may be correct but munjya is basically what is called bramharakhyash in odia and it has been told in this explanation

I'm from Maharashtra, Munja aur brahmarakshas are different.. Munja wo chote ladka hota hai jo shadi ke pehle hi chale jate hai (jinka munjibandhan yaane mundaan bhi na kiya gaya ho), kaha jaata ha wo pipal ke ped par rehte hai, aur pitro mein unki pooja pipal e ped ki pooja kar ke ki jaati hai.. isliye pipal ke ped todna mana kiya jaata hai.. aur haa Munja ka antim sanskar Mukhagni deke nahi balki unko dafna ke kiya jaata hai... Aur Brahmarakshas alag hote hai...

I have the movie in theatre and enjoy it and now I am watching your video I can tell that you are missing some part like how did munjay enter in the body of bella ( it was because if the symbol that is made on the goat is made on someone else then munjay can enter their body as well and because bella was drunk she makes the same symbol on her head) so pls check you have left some important information missed

The most unrealistic bit in the movie is Bella choosing the white guy over Bittu. He looks like a really good looking fella (no homo). Im guessing its probably the way he acts around people, id need to watch the movie.

Well, it would have generated more hype if they had shown Shraddha Kapoor cameo in end of movie in which they can show how Shraddha Kapoor character gave Black magic book to child goteya and manipulated him to do evil deeds.

I think the tree shown in the movie is of bargad (banyan) the tree shown have prop roots(hanging roots from branches) and big oval leaves. The tree doesn't resemble peepal tree at all.

Munjya looks like crossbreed between Kakodar of Shaktiman and Toby from "Hari Puttar" n yes there was a story of my friend who happened to visit his village in Odisha. On the way, he just pissed on some trees and while returning his home - a relative ghost came over him....these stories are very common in villages and home towns !
