The best of James Horner's "A Beautiful Mind" Nominated for an Academy Award in 2001 as part of our Oscar Countdown! I do not own any of this material. No copyright intended.
I’m in love with “A beautiful mind” and it’s soundtrack It gives so much inspiration for studying, I feel motivated But at the same time it’s a bit hard for me to watch this film because I have schizophrenia, seeing how John falls into his delusions is painful, I know how it feels
Russel Crowe was robbed of the Oscar. I have not watched the Oscars since and that was 18 years ago. His performance was one of the best I've ever seen. Truly remarkable.
I'm actually very much not a fan of Russell Crowe. I do not prefer his acting style. However, his performance in this movie was extraordinary and I was mesmerized how great he did with it. I always acknowledge this performance of his even if I'm not a fan. His heart, mind, and soul went into this and it was outstanding work. Thoroughly captivating.
He didn't get the Oscar just because they omitted a part of the real story. Yeah, it's apt to say that Oscar doesn't deserve him. He's way ahead of them.
Anybody who thinks mental illness isn't real or that some who have it are unable to function in "normal" society need to see this awesome film! This film is an inspiration to those WHO DO have some form of mental illness but live with it and deal with it while functioning as best they can as any other human being. WE ALL have challenges to live with in this life either mental or physical. Some are more visible than others. RIP John Forbes & Alicia Nash!
Mental illness is just another disability, we need to love and understand those who have it. They are people just like us. They have their scars on the inside. Please think about my man . He suffers depression greatly . But I love him scars and all.
Yes. A neighbor's 40yr. old male child had. Most of the time he was a calm individual. Then 0ne notices that wild birds quit foraging & fly away en masse... i/s animals perform 1950's atomic blast drills of 'Duck & Cover' then you'd hear the screaming. They, the Afflicted soul, lived closer to the street in a one-story house: my dad & I lived in a small upstairs garage apartment @ the rear of the lot but next door. All your tough Engineering concepts can become easy, the motivation of this movie is such high. Truly inspired by John nash sirs biography. Gladiator, then this movie, Russell Crowe is one of the best actor, not sure how the Oscar jury's missed him for this movie,shame!!!...I think James horner makes musics in heaven. A Beautiful mind is not a movie, it's the library of Motivation and inspiration for all generations.
Absolutely emotionally drags you into what his world must've been like, seeing these 3 people for years and knowing it's not real, but never stops. Not knowing you're mad is one thing, but to know your brain is lying to you is a whole other level of 'wow, deal with that'.

The greatest human relationship is one that brings together two lovers, a man and a woman, which is crowned with the marital bond, and it results in boys and girls who return the beauty of parents with love, and mercy.
Poor John. I have schizophrenia and it's painfull too. I wish I was very intelligent than Nash, but I can't. This guy was special and her wife was kindfull and a lovelly person. Greatest movie I ever saw
It’s more of where you are intelligent you have to find john in probably numbers you might be in something else you do have beautiful mind have faith❤️

I listen different kind of "dark music" like alternative, ambient, metalcore, progressive metal, dark, even death metal but jesus christ this is just most beautiful dark peace I've ever heard (except classical music). But I should say one should listen whole soundtrack and not this cut.
Horner could be such a talent when the right director and film came along. He creates this wonderful sense of swirling magic when Crowe's character Nash is lost in thought and theory. Then later you're taken ahold of by the fear and paranoia that starts to close in on Nash. Such a great score. Such a great composer Horner was with his unique style.
You're spot on. Not enough people realise the quality (good or bad) is usually the fault of the director or producers. A great composer can write a shit score if he has to work with overbearing producers/directors, but can write absolute masterpieces when the director trusts their composer, and let them do their thing.

Geoffrey Denis Crawford I believe that illness was not an obstacle, rather it was part of his talent and was partly inspiring his genius. He had to adapt his way of thinking to live with this disease. But from another perspective, it was also an obstacle to overcome
Nine times here. First was in the theater and the rest on Netflix when they mailed the DVDS. I can never get enough of the movie or soundtrack. One of the best-- truly.
I suffer from paroniod schizophrenia but after I read John Nash words I follow his advice I ignore the feelings and thoughts as bad energy and not real cos my problems can't be seen or heard by anyone else as I've been told so it's all in my head and not real.
I cant imagine what that must be like. All I know is that sometimes psychiatrists can cause more harm than good. And if you have taken wisdom and inspiration from this movie then that is good, with mental health often the people who do us the most good are those who have survived mental illness and or live successfully with it, and go on to be psychiatrists, therapists, an inspiration and beacon of hope to those who have been left unsupported, misunderstood, or misdiagnosed. Always remember you are never alone, though it may feel like that.
