Rescuing Painted Turtle Hatchlings

The last 2-3 days I have found a bunch of baby painted turtles trying to cross the road. Right after this video I found 6 more so I ended up rescuing a total of 12 of them and brought them safely to their new swamp.

This is how small my first turtle was when I found her. Kept her until she was the size of a small dinner plate and then took her and my two others to a natural rehabilitation center. I'd like to think they're out there making their own baby turtles somewhere...

No, painted turtles are native to the area. The nest they hatched from was on the other side of the road. I was just their crossing guard lol.
