Because ninja recolors are cheap and easy to do. The Sub-Zero brothers work because they have different looks and movesets, not to mention Noob Saibot is something completely original. Snake is just a Reptile trying to be Scorpion.
I was also wandering can the creator bring back the sound when Snake say "Get Over Here" Come Here and "Get Down Here"? Because that make his character sound more vicious. I love that Reptilian taunt from Snake I really want that back in the chars again.

Although it is awesome that we have all of these MK MUGEN games, there seems to be way too many of the palette swap ninja characters, and many of them share the same move sets as other characters that were already on the original MK roster. This Snake character is just the latest one I have seen whom I'm not too crazy about. I am also not a fan of Magnectro, Hydro, Sapphira, Shewolf, Flame, Aqua, Monnitor, Leviathan and Oniro. Nor do I think every male ninja character needs to have a cyborg counterpart nor have both MK1 and MK2 versions. Seriously, I think we have enough of the ninja characters. I would love to see, however, more remakes of the unique characters from MK:DA and beyond, such as Nitara, Ashrah and Moloch. I commend the guys who've been able to add characters like Drahmin, Shinnok and Cassie Cage so far. I know it takes a lot of talent and hard work to make this all freely available, which I am grateful for. I would love to learn MUGEN programming, but I simply have too many other computer projects going on at the moment. Though it's always fun to see what new things guys are coming up with :-)
Facts, Rich. If it wasn't for MUGEN's bad rep with viruses, I'd create a Kombat pack for New Era. Am largely uninterested in other ninjas besides Khrome. What about other realms' fighters? And ones that are immigrant races in Edenia, unconquered by Shao Kahn? Tbh it's time to do things differently with new fighters. I have a slew of fan creations I wish I could put in: - Atl, a green skinned warrior of Groverealm who summons alien animals out of nowhere - Lifer, a Special Forces agent who can bend hardlight white energy and clone himself with the it. He can make up to 2 clones, unlike Noob Saibot. We need more Soldier characters that aren't the OGs' kids. - Remji, the best warrior of Shellrealm. He's inspired by TMNT, which Boon actually has a fondness for. Can shoot double eye beams of blood energy, and bend a slick oil like force called The Passage.
so its an exact clone of reptile with purple skin called snake? im all for custom mugen MK chars and some of the 3d ports to 2d are fuckin awesome too.. but this is just a cheap rip off, a perfect clone with a slightly different color palette.
I like this snake he is like the older brother of Reptile with so many moves

Snake was used to have unique special moves (except acid spit) and fatalities in MK Anthology and Chaotic. I missed his poison katana in this game.

No there's not, I love all these patlette swaps, only the Millennials will get this. New MK stuff is too individualized actually.
