Disney Springs Drone Show | Death Star battle

Dreams That Soar is a wicked cool nighttime drone show that you can catch at Disney Springs. The show kicked off on May 24, 2024, and it's all about reliving those epic Disney moments, brought to life by drones. Yep, you heard that right-drones!
So, back on March 21, 2024, Disney dropped the news that a brand new drone show would light up the skies every night at Disney Springs during the summer. They even spilled the beans on the location: above Lake Buena Vista on the West Side of Disney Springs. Mark your calendars-it runs from May 24 to September 2. This announcement was part of a whole bunch of exciting stuff happening at Walt Disney World Resort, like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom, the grand opening of CommuniCore Hall & Plaza at Epcot, and a big 30th-anniversary bash for The Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Before this big reveal, Disney was busy testing out the drones earlier in 2024. They got the idea from the popular drone shows at Disneyland Paris, where about 500 drones recreated magical scenes from the Main Street Electrical Parade, called "Disney Electrical Sky Parade." This isn't Disney World's first rodeo with drones either-they had a short but sweet five-minute drone show called "Starbright Holidays" back in 2016, thanks to a team-up with Intel and their Shooting Star drones.
Then, on May 15, 2024, Disney gave us a sneak peek of the show. It was awesome- they showed off some footage of what to expect and let it slip that AT&T was presenting the show. During a test session, they showed us how the drones would create massive images of Disney characters in the sky. Imagine seeing Peter Pan, Dumbo, WALL-E, and even Star Wars characters like the Death Star lighting up the night! They also mentioned that an original song is part of the show, and they’ve been installing extra lights and speakers to make sure everything’s perfect.
