I love a deep dramatic look to wear to the living room. At first I wanted it to stay matte, but then the twinkle convinced me, its too stunning. I agree the the Nightmare Before Christmas palettes were not full effort. This palette though, is gorgeous! I feel like Melt is really good at doing dark grungy colors, but brighter colors aren't so consistent in quality, so this color story seems perfect.

I felt bad knocking that collection, but it didn't meet the standard I was used to from Melt, at least looking at it. I agree, they really excel with depth across the board.

You know me friend, you know I love blues and purples. So when you put that gorgeous blue shade on the outside of the black, I was like 'oh damn, that works better than I would've thought.' Then you put on that purple gel liner and I was like 'wow that works super well, that's so cool and pretty!'. Then you did the glitter?! Holy shit that glitter really just brought the look home, brought it all together and fuck it looks so good! It was super fun going on the rollercoaster journey with you, and I'm loving the added chaotic energy you've been bringing to these new videos with your editing, you keep catching me off guard and making me laugh. A bit of an update on my end before I sign off this comment, but ya boi is starting a new job in a couple of weeks which I'm so excited for. I've given myself a week off next week too so as of this coming Saturday, I'm a coffee boy no more! Having said that, I actually enjoyed making coffee that was the main part of being a barista I liked 🤣 but I'm excited for this new venture! I giggled aloud at the mini egg break and the Owen Wilson and the "not today, satan." Also I completely agree that these shades are WAY brighter in the pan than on the eye? If it were me I'd have tried to use that blue on the lid and screamed. You are seriously so skilled, working with all of these potent shades and coming out with this gorgeous night sky look. I love love the layer you made of the gel liner and the glitter gel. (Also your tattoos are looking so fabulous today and every day.) Also completely agreed your base was stunning today--I'm like such a simp for orangey shimmery blush right now? There's a great shade for that in the Lunar Beauty blush palette (mine has lowkey hardpanned so I go in so aggressively like "wow I'm packing on the blush I'm truly so brave" and it comes out very chill regardless hahha). This video brought such a smile to my face; thank you for this escape of lovely palette reviewing/grwm content. ((In really huge news for me, I bought some makeup brush shampoo and actually cleaned my brushes a;lskdfj))

I feel like I’m needing a lesson in WHY what brush shapes work for what, ya know? And what brands are good. I have some absolute faves from them - Gemini 1 and 2 are fantastic, and Muerte is so special. I do prefer their matte formula to their shimmer formula but both are good.
Definitely here for this look, you really nailed it 😍😍 Have you tried the shimmers from the palette? I found that while the Melt mattes are usually consistently good, the shimmers are all over the place, which I find frustrating considering how uniquely earthy and olive their shades always are

Melt I have been on the fence about trying, so many of the palettes look so pretty.
