I’m still really glad that you liked my ideas from the first video when talking about a darker danganronpa and if it was rewritten, or re-done today that it would probably take an OMORI route. Love the designs! I'm a stickler for Canon Chihiro so I struggle connecting to changes in their story BUT I really appreciate the care you put into it. I feel a lot of people who view Chihiro as trans struggle to change the narrative the OG writing does in a way that makes sense.
I’ve seen a lot of DR fans say “Chihiro would have been better off trans”, so this take doesn’t surprise me. It’s pretty well known that THH’s 2nd chapter is infamous for not tackling the subject matter with Chihiro (& Toko) very well. Still wondering what’s with the lack of disclaimer for that game. And what’s with people saying that Chihiro’s actual gender is up to debate? It’s full on confirmed in stuff like the extra game modes & ancillary media. How the subject matter of Chihiro’s gender was tackled can be criticized, but it’s confirmed no matter how you slice it.
Honestly, I haven't seen much of the extra credit stuff, Ive only seen the main 3 games + UDG so i can't really say much about canon Chihiro. I just wanted my new version to be officially trans because trans rep is cool haha. I just use they/them for canon Chihiro to avoid the conflict lol

12:21 DUDE- I didn’t think you can make his backstory more messed up but I absolutely love it. Byukuya, as great of an antagonist he is, seeing this is just- LOVE IT. I love it. I feel like you could change his execution though. I just hate the ending of it so much.😭😭😭 it just makes it feel like a joke. I just feel like something a lot more symbolic to his character, and what he could never achieve would be so despairing for Mondo.

Even if they weren’t in the killing game they shouldn’t have been put up on such a high pedestal. I hate the concept of prodigies. They’re teenagers, you don’t mess with kids or teenagers. They were 17 yesterday they’re not an adult today, they skipped a year because they’re smart not because they’re 16, their first period ended last week they’re still 9 and don’t need a child. You don’t mess with kids or teenagers, I love the Danganronpa series and the fact they’re all *teenagers* makes it even more heartbreaking.

Broooo, for Mondo‘s execution, It would be really interesting if he was surrounded by a bunch of monokuma‘s that were yelling at him and in order for him to “survive” he needed to punch his way through them, still his mind about what kind of monster he is for killing his brother and another classmate of his. And leave him exhausted for at the end a bigger monokuma shows up and crushes him. It could have a funny name like one punch Mondo since each execution has a title. It would also be just as equally interesting as if just like with his brother if when he kills, he also hides the body somewhere and then runs off to get rid of the evidence.
OMG A PART TWO TO THIS SERIES YESSS I LOVE IT!!! Mondo is one of my favourite characters 😭😭 Fun fact: Mondo’s character is inspired by Josuke Higashikata from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure who shares the same pompadour and the reference to Crazy Diamond comes from him too. Josuke‘s basically the kind of guy people would look at and call a delinquent but he’s a really nice guy and fights in the name of helping people, so when I think of Mondo, it makes him seem more compassionate on the inside. The butter execution honestly isn’t one of my favourites, he should’ve turned into hair gel or something instead 💀💀 but yeah with all the references they’ve packed into his character already I can’t believe they didn’t do one for his execution!

As someone under the Trans Umbrella, I LOVE CHIHIRO. I’ve also always been slapped with the “Geinus” Or “Prodigy” title and that’s why I love this series! It feels like a representation of the standards and how the schools treat these kids (and their burnouts)
Omggg ur designs r so cooll istggg ヾ(≧O≦)〃 Also why do I feel like the antagonist might be Toko or Celeste (・ω・) For Mondo's execution, I kinda got inspired by a trap from Saw but I mad I t diff, where this would be an execution that the other students participate in to save him (they can't save him tho cus duh its for despair) where the trap consists of a motorcycle that has saw wheels (those r a thing actually) and Mondo is slowly seeing these wheels that r running being lowered to him and the others have to find a key to get him free from the chains, but ofc the chains aren't just locked but they are inside of his flesh so they would have to rip them off as well (metaphorrrr) but the time runs out after they only ripped two chains and Mondo get killed by the saw wheels which causes his blood to splatter onto the other students, all while some blood pools and drips onto the ripped chains on the floor and his jacket that he wasn't wearing bc monokuma removed it from him

Weebynews wrote that Mondos executions was inspired by a story called “Little Black Sambo” where a boy tricks two tigers by giving them his clothes which causes the tiggers to grow vain, have a race, and turn themselves into butter. With that context I can see why they made Mondo’s execution the way that it is, but for your rewrite I think it can be changed to be more serious. Considering you’re rewriting much of Mondo’s backstory I think it’s safe to change his execution to match it. Also why do I feel like this new antagonist is Celestia Ludenberg 😏
