Video file formats normally consist of a container for the video data and a codec which is used to code or decode the video and audio. The container is the file you can see on your computer or smartphone. It contains the audio track, the video track, a description, subtitles, and the many other items that make up a complete, viewable video. The codec compresses the contents of the container. It encodes the original image and sound during the process of shooting and then, when you start watching, decodes the image and sound to make them viewable.
1920Ń 1080 is perfect for CZcams or watching a video at home. If you want to watch the video on your phone or publish it on Instagram, 1280Ń 720 is enough. But if your video was shot in 1280Ń 720, saving it as a file of higher resolution makes no sense, because it wonât make the image any better.
The frame rate, or FPS (frame per second), is the number of frames that can be shown every second in your video. We recommend you choose 24 or 30 fps; donât set a higher fps than the original video.
The bitrate sets the image quality and file size. It can be set automatically by the program or manually by the user. There is also the VBR option, which is a variable bitrate in which the program sets different bitrates for different parts of the video. If itâs a short and dynamic video, 20,000 kb/s is the best option. If itâs a 3-hour long recording of a university lecture, 5,000 kb/s is enough âcause the quality is less important. Setting a higher bitrate than the original file doesnât change anything.

If I choose good instead of high to make the export faster, would if affect the quality of my 4k video resolution. Because since I used Movavi suite video editor 2021 I always used high in exporting it but it took me a decade to finish and same time uploading it to my youtube channel. Hope you can help me understand what is best to choose.
Hi! Using quality presets is quite convinient for sure, but we recommend you go for manual export settings. This is the best way to reduce the time you spend on rendering. Sometimes quality presets tend to make files heavier, so it's getting harder for the programm to process all the information. Try choosing the original parameters of your video while exporting, or set a lower bitrate or frame rate
@@MovaviWorld by doing the manual would it change the quality of the video?

Great vid thx. I am lost on one part.. I have a YT Channel and ALL my HD vids look pixelated and not good quality, the last 2 videos I made on my channel are made with my New Movavi Program. I LOVE the program, money well spent!! But I noticed the problem is still there. I understand everything you said in this video but I am confused about this.. When do I need to use the Movavi Video Suite to convert my vids so they look better on CZcams? Or do I just make sure it is correctly set up when I complete my vids with the Movavi Editor? I made a vid recently and cranked up everything, the file size was over 4GB but still looks terrible on CZcams only. Fine offline! Should I use the Movavi Suite to convert "After I complete my Movavi Video" or should I just ensure I set everything right in the editor only? Also what if I have 30fps and 60fps vids all in one video, what FPS do I use to complete my videos? All I want is to be able to have my 1080p vids look like 1080p HD on CZcams but I am not having much success. Thanks again. Anyone wondering about Movavi.. if you love to make cool vids, GET IT, I make heaps and it's a fantastic program. No regrets at all. Here is a Movavi Vid I made and it looks pretty bad on CZcams but amazing on my computer czcams.com/video/uDWPcSmPtIA/video.html
Hi! Thank you for such a detailed explanation of the issue! Let's see what we can do about the situation.
It seems like CZcams itself dropped your video's quality. When you're uploading your vids to CZcams, the platform uses its own codecs (avc1 and vp9) to compress your file and optimize it in order to make it available for different devices and internet speeds. If we open the video you gave us as an example and click on it with the right mouse button to select Stats for nerds, the video info will pop up. In the info window you can see 'avc1' as your video codec which means the original file was noticeably compressed (vp9 tends to leave videos as they are). And that might be the reason why you see the difference between your offline and online versions of the video. Your computer basically doesn't compress the file to playback it as CZcams does. We don't know exactly what makes CZcams encode some videos with avc1 and other with vp9. But many people think CZcams uses avc1 to encode beginners' videos, because beginners are thought to use regular cameras and have a smaller number of subscribers so it's easier for CZcams to keep their videos compressed. Vp9, for comparison, is considered to be an "advanced users' codec" because popular CZcamsrs, as CZcams developers might think, use top shelf gear and many people watch their content so it's better to provide larger fanbases with a higher quality.
Taking into account what we've said before, we don't think converting the file can solve the problem 'cuz it's better to find appropriate export options you'll be able to apply to new videos instead of converting files all the time. We'll try our best to help you with it.
Deciding between 30fps and 60fps, check out how many clips of both types you have. For example, if your video consists mostly of 60fps drone footage, go for 60fps, 30fps parts won't change visually ib this case.
Guess, we can help you reduce the file size because 4Gb is too big for 15 minutes of video, but we need more details like parameters of original clips and your export settings
Btw, thank you for your feedback as well! We're happy to know you enjoy using the program :)
@@MovaviWorld Hi, yes VP9 is what I wanted but how do you get YT to use that codec, seems odd that popular channels would have sharp vids and smaller ones have below average videos, I just got a decent Fiber connection and I can now watch in 1080p on YT but still my vids look terrible. I build my videos with 1080p vids from my Caddx Drone Camera and they are all 60fps. I'm confused as to whether I should use the CZcams function to publish/complete my vids in the editor or just pick the best settings, nothing seems to give me the VP9 codec when I check, I looked back at all my older vids and all are avc1. Really I think knowing the best settings or whether to use the export/CZcams function on the editor is key. I have used a few different editors and I like Movavi more than any I have tried so I am very keen to keep using it. I thought getting Premier or similar could fix this problem but after reading your message I don't think it would make YT use VP9 for my vids still. I am not sure what settings to use, I just uploaded some test vids and tried some different settings and they all look rotten. With avc1 you can't get a clean looking 720p vid in YT, if you only have an average internet connection and have to use 720p to view all the avc1 vids are almost unwatchable. If you watch a VP9 in 720p on YT they look great. Can't w!! Thanks heaps for the reply, really keen to learn how to improve my vids, it's a hobby I am really enjoying, not just the freestyle drone flying but the video editing too, it's lots of fun. Thx again.
@@MovaviWorld To follow up from my last reply.. I spent some time researching VP9 and how to get YT to use it on my videos.
Please check out My New Test Video (shot with only > 1080p 60fps Drone Camera) here czcams.com/video/XgTIphtJlnU/video.html but publishing my video in Movavi set to output H.264 "4K" 60fps. If I watch it using CZcams set to view at 1080p so it plays seamlessly with no stopping it looks pretty good. Way better than any of the other vids in avc1 so VP9 certainly looks better and to force VP9 all you need to do is produce a 4K video in Movavi even if your clips are 1080p only. I was told by an expert on Drone cameras on CZcams that making a 4K vid will force VP9 too and he is using H.265 but my Movavi only has H.264 but as you can see in my test video it is now VP9 using H.264 and 4K, so that is cool to know how to get all my vids to be VP9. Here's a video saying the same thing: czcams.com/video/qD3rzAvXkJA/video.html
I did another test video using the highest settings in Movavi but still 1080p not 4K and it looks bad and is avc1 still. So setting to 4K would no doubt be something many people using YT would like to know. I thought if I only have 1080p clips setting publish to 4K wouldn't work but it does without issue and you get the VP9 codec on CZcams. You don't have to watch in 4K either which is good, 1080p set on YT while watching a 4K vid looks and works fine, for me anyway.
To support your theory about popular CZcams Channels getting VP9 I just watched a video on one I subscribe to and you are right because he has a 1080p video only but the codec is VP9, he has 48,000 subs and is very well known in the Drone Industry so no 4K but still gets VP9. Video here: czcams.com/video/FAizij3EeoA/video.html
Wow! You've done quite a bit of research! Sorry for being late with the reply, we should have been more careful with checking our comment notifications :( But still, we're happy you've found the option that works to your satisfaction! Your 4k test video looks very good. Thank you a lot for sharing your notes đ It'll be useful for us as well
@@MovaviWorld Totally, anyone else having problems with poor quality CZcams Videos can force CZcams to use VP9 Codec which makes your vids look like they should quality wise and not all pixelated and blurry. Just upload a 4K Video or run your 1080p video through an editor like Movavi and when you publish it in Movavi just select 4K output even though it's only a 1080p video. That will trigger CZcamss system to use VP9 and your vid will/should look like all the other high quality vids on the popular channels you watch. You must get the VP9 codec to get the quality, I do not know of any other way. I have no affiliation to Movavi and have no reason to promote it but after using many Video Editors and tried the Movavi Trial, I am also one of these people that don't like buying software and normally go without or use a dodgy one from uncle Bobs brothers house keepers sisters aunties dog cleaners uncle. You get the drift! BUT I loved Movavi so much I paid for the full program later that day and I found it a bit tricky but then realized it wasn't Movavi that was weird it was all the other junk I had been using, Movavi is so easy and makes great vids. I am hooked, it's all I use and I have a full copy of Adobe Premier 2019 here, I have no reason to even try it now. Give it a try if you are into making vids it really is fun to use. The first 2 vids on my Channel are made with Movavi but as you will see I didn't publish in 4K so they are poor quality (thanks CZcams) because I didn't know to use 4K in Movavi for my 1080p vids when I made them. You can see how the vids look with Movavi titles, transitions etc though. Check one out here: czcams.com/video/ams_QFHLYsw/video.html Right click the video, Stats for Nerds and you will see it is using Codec avc1 not VP9. This test video is published in 4K and is running VP09 codec, check it out here: czcams.com/video/XgTIphtJlnU/video.html Both vids are 1080p vids, see the difference? Cheers Brigzy!
