If you are traveling around Bolivia 🇧🇴 you definitely have to visit the Uyuni Salt Desert! Absolutely incredible place: czcams.com/video/POwh-TYt_yk/video.html 💯💯💯 #BoliviasSaltDesert
Hi, when did you arrive at La Paz airport? I plan a trip to Uyuni, but the flight arrives at La Paz at 2AM. Is the custom open at 2AM? how long does it take to go through the custom (assume I don't have a visa and have to pay after landing)? Thanks in advance.
@@williamli6200 Ouh I would really love to help you with this but I traveled to La Paz by bus from Peru. Sorry :(
Very nice country. Hello from indonesian
Hello 😊 Thank you for joining my channel!
Beautiful country on the earth
Very 😊
Amei demais a minha experiência. A cidade é linda e colorida!
Parabéns pelo vídeo!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yes amazing place :))
❤BEAUTIFUL CITY 🎉🎉❤❤
I live in Bolivia and work remotely without any issues. I would say that maybe cafes and hotels are not the best for WiFi, but there are CoWork spaces that are very suitable for remote workers and visitors. I would suggest checking CoWork places in La Paz (I can recommend ones in Cochabamba - also some coffee places in Cochabamba have a very decent WiFi connection)
Ouh wow what an amazing recommendation! Thank you so much🙏
Thank you 😍😍😍
I totally compare the Teleferico of La Paz to the Chicago L. Love both of them. Might have both lines tattoos to my back.
Ouh wow!!! Cool idea 🤩
Hermoso
Agreed, LaPaz is shocking for tourists and unique in both bad and good ways, also due poor urban planning some districts struggling to keep up with population growth thats one reason El Alto overthrown and got #2 city in population behind #1 SantaCruzdelaSierra.
ahh very interesting, yes that makes sense! Thank you for your comment :)
I am impressed how well you portrayed my city greetings from La Paz Bolivia
Loved it 😊 Thank you for watching!
Bolivia looks like a beautiful place to visit! Thanks for sharing my friend! Cheers!
It is! Thank you for watching :))
I loved it ! Beautiful city!
Yes amazing place :))
Great trip! Loved the video. The “crazy” houses you saw in El Alto are called “cholets”. Cholets are owned by the indigenous bourgeoisie. I’ve even seen hotel cholets where you can book a stay. The “chirimoya” icecream you had is from the soursop fruit, one of my fav icecreams too. La Paz is so diverse, glad you had a great time.
ooo nice thanks for this info! But why Iron Man or like a space ship? Is there any special thought behind it? :)
@@AlikiTravelBlog I think it is simply up to what the owner(s) like.

I enjoyed watching this episode. I am sold next on my bucket list❤❤. I like how to tell where to stay and where is not safe. I have travel anxiety especially to new places and this gave me comfort. Subbing for sure ❤❤

Greetings desde Dallas TX US. 🇧🇴 🇺🇸
Thank you! 😊
Streets don't receive proper maintenance, that's why drivers don't respect catwalks, but they do respect traffic lights.
Most streets are narrow because of the initial planning from colonial times, making driving a headache sometimes.
The cable car is the real MVP here, since it can get you close to your destination almost everywhere in La Paz.
yes, the cable car system in La Paz is excellent!
Very nice your report of the governmental capital city of Bolivia. 🤗🤗 🌷🌷
Thank you very much :))
Capital is Sucre no lapaz

HELLO 👋🏻 FROM JAPAN 🇯🇵 NICE VIDEO AND YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL 😍
Thank you very much 🤗
This city is at the same altitude as mount fuji, almost twice as high as the next highest city. The amount of solar radiation exposure is very high, so it is very interesting to see people can adapt. There is also very little air for most visitors, but those native to the region have also adapted. I would not recommend living there as a foreigner, but a fascinating place
ouh wow very interesting facts! Thank you so much for sharing 😍
Just found this video now while searching for La Paz walkthroughs. You did an excellent job with showing us most of the main parts of the city. What was the area that you recommended to stay in within the city of La Paz? The area that you felt was most safe but also close to the downtown. I want to travel there on a budge so i don't want to spend a ton of money on a fancy hotel room.
Hi :) thank you so much! Very good question...it is a difficult one. I think I actually would recommend staying in the downtown. It is definitely not as dangerous as I thought it will be. Close to everything, loads of food places. And I think it was quite budget friendly. I remember picking other location because of safety stuff but once I visited I realised it is not that bad. Two other areas that I would recommend that are close, but safish and on budget are: the are around Selina hostel (apparently one of the safest areas around there) and then Hotel Europa because that was like a business district. I think just in general La Paz is not the place where to wander around during late hours, like doesn't matter where you stay. During the day it is quite ok almost in all areas, apart from the proper dangerous ones that are further away. Like around downtown and then stretching back to Selina, that whole area is ok. If you have more questions or want to clarify this, DM on Instagram, I will send you screenshots an all haha :)

Hello, Aliki!
Your channel is amazing and so insipiring, I would say "insipiring life" in all us.
One question: are you from the US? It seems to me you have an American accent
Besos
Thank you so much 😍 Uuu interesting, no I am not. I am originally from Latvia but the last past 5 years I have been living in Gibraltar so I guess my accent is a mix of Latvian, British English and Spanish haha
La Paz is interesting place and not to far from there is yungas which i love, also have you been to Buenos Aires? if not hope you go, greetings.
Buenos Aires is on my list :)

If you do not like, go to Sucre, Bolivia has 9 beautifully ❤️cities .
Or go back to your plase.
Have you tried cherimoyas yet?
You mentioned the bad internet connection in Bolivia for digital nomads and it is a struggle for remote workers, but how was it in Ecuador and Peru? Was it good enough in Ecuador and Peru for remote workers?
Yes, Peru and Ecuador in general were good! Of course there will always be specific accommodations that do not prfioritize wifi so definitely check specifically for each, but as country in general the wifi was good. Bolivia to be fair was the only country that I visited in South America that had this issue.
7:17 Iron Man building 😮
crazy right 🤩
hi did you go to the south zone of la paz ? the much more modern city zone where most upper class live
No I don't think so...
@@AlikiTravelBlog ohhh that’s unfortunate, the south zone it’s still a city just modern

Grew up in Chicago. Half Bolivian, so I have visited often. The Teleferico is so much like the Chicago L. You should visit, have a bunuelo and api or saltena and Pepsi and just walk around.

Ecuador is indeed beautiful but ...organized ???? You have got to be kidding ! Organized is a word that is totally foreign to all of Latin America. And regarding this dump : she must be naive to appear so enthusiastic about it. The place is a nightmare .
