I've only had BeamNG for about 2 weeks but I've seen all the updates and they're all amazing
Yes, and to top it all off, it feels like an entirely different game compared to ten years ago!

Beam devs deserve the world for how much effort they’ve put into the game over the last 10 years

@@dynamitestalker4219 Then again, 10 years ago this "game" wasn't exactly known for these standard mechanics. I remember it being that weird vehicle car crash deformation simulator for a while lol

@@t_5511 They should, but at the same time, it would be a nightmare. Some third-party mods have scratches, but it's pretty buggy. The entire car will move to the scratched decal upon one single tap of a guardrail.
@@t_5511 scratches to me seem like something that would add a lot of realism OR could be completely immersion breaking most of the time unless you have a $5000 PC.

Yes, wind affects the doors and trunks when open. Even vehicle inertia forces them to close.
@@kak8895 also, if you are parked on a slope some doors will not open very far and close themselves while others will fall fully open
Ikr. It's unbelievable. For example the train mod, in which the train actually physically runs on the rails instead of following a pre-coded path is something that really blew my mind. Even the top-notch trains sims don't behave like that.
@@tomv3361 Yes, but the train mod train doesn't only rely on the wheels, there is an invisible block under the train which keeps the train in the rails. The train levitates for example if you place it on normal ground.

Would be cool to actually get out of your car, and fill it up like in real life at a gas station
Also, just explode the car and look where's the most fire coming out of the car lol
(jk, i have no clue if you can actually see more fire at the fuel tank when exploding a car via the radial menu)

Now all we need is a tyre physics update.
We got that already? It's small, but the tires deform when driving (It's visible when going fast as the tires seem to puff up the faster you go)
@@ZyteXtrabyte They did update the tire physics a while back, but they said last year they are planning to update the tire physics again with heavy implications of tire thermals. It was supposed to come out last year, but got delayed.
@@ZyteXtrabyte no like actually sim level or sim-like tyre physics. with varying parameters such as tyre wear, tyre temperatures, grip level on different surfaces etc.
@@rayjynx Most race simulators don't even simulate tyre properties complete or properly, they all have their strengths and weaknesses. Some may have wear but will lack graining and flatspots, some will have those and still lack tearing or excessive pickup. Never complete and leaves a dynamic out of the equation.
BeamNG tyres will take more time to get improved as their simulation approach is far too complex, different than everything out there. They have more terrain surfaces, axle configurations and vehicle types to work with. Still, Node-Beam tyre model does a fantastic job at deformation/flex than any racing Simulator.
Too little polygons for it to be usable they'd have to overhaul the entire wheel. Which would be groundbreaking if they nail it

You have done miracles to the game engine. Some of the latest Mod vehicles look incredibly good. LIke 2-3 years ago people complained that Mod vehicles were imported from Forza, now there is no point to do that, because this game/engine surpasses Forza. And now we get this feature, can´t wait how this gets implimented to the mods.
I need to do fresh installation for Beam, because haven´t played it for a while. Bought this game back in version 0,7.
These devs are the best!

The Miramar, Pigeon, and Wigeon are all listed in the changelog. However, the T-Series and DT40L aren't.
@@AysoXD they may also have issues getting the T-series hood to open since it opens forward, and they didn't want to make just the doors open
My first thought seeing this was "Oh yessssssssssssssssss" and I did a little fist pump. A very good thing to wake up to :D

@@zachariah74 I was joking actually. Just the fact that BeamNG could still beat GTA VI's driving and that there is no was GTA VI could beat it in the future.

From Mod to official feature, Openable latches makes the game more interactive. Them devs do not make their game look old, but real.

@@alexflosho i mean when Rockstar releases new stuff or launches new videogame, it is always some random day at a random time no follow up. I like this approach alot.
What do you mean by Rockstar? Team BeamNG here is making their game better and more interactive with each passing year to a point where you can't be able to compare the current version with the past and future versions. Team Rockstar on the other hand still continues to milk a decade old game while also neglecting their recent game and future games too.

I wonder if one day they would have the technology to include deployable airbags 😲 that physics simulation would probably bring most computers to their knees 😂
We do need that. But I don't think are trying to go for that approach. I'm pretty sure they said they wouldn't add airbags so they could keep their current rating. Another reason they aren't adding human passengers.
@@ZyteXtrabyte I mean air bags alone don’t cause a game to become more violent. Idk why the game doesn’t have them, but I assume they would get annoying when using the first person camera. Maybe they’re hard to implement too.
Just a curiosity. Half the stuff they've added now felt impossible when I first bought the game in 2016

I love this game.It's the best! @BeamNG you make the best games ever!! i use it for realistic driving and with the Gavrill D Series the thing is its hard to tell how fast you are going so if you can do something about that it would be great

How do you open the doors. I tried clicking on the boxes and it doesn't work. I'm not sure if I turned something off or what.
