I thought that’s what I was getting when I went natural 😩 The whole point was to loc my hair. It wasn’t quite 4C so I just been rocking a loose natural so far, but I’m still gonna loc later. I just hope I get the look I want 😅

It’s amazing how people from the islands call it dreadlocks. It really doesn’t matter if it’s called locs, dreads, dreadlocks--it’s beautiful! I’m 6 months in and with I done it sooner.

There are so many black women with really thick and even free form locs.
It is possible. Lol.
Personally the woman that you think may have faux locs the first one I believe that is her hair because faux locs can’t do that and even when they are thick they look more synthetic.
You can tell that’s 100% African hair.
African hair is naturally very thick it’s manipulation or tension that weakens the hair causing it to thin or break.
Shedded hair builds up in the loc and causes the thickness so it depends on how much you hair sheds as well, along with how big the parts are
Some hair textures can’t form thick locs. But I think most people envy those whose hair can form thick locs.

Hello! I am certain that the young lady at 1:22 doesn’t freeform. She has a few videos on youtube. Her name is Kween Nfari and she does a palm roll-ish type of retwist. Love her and love your videos.

I free form my locks started from a brush cut, then after two years of growing them , I went and got them palm rolled to give them a more nicer look, but still thick and have fingers at the end

I started out free formed and mid way let things get in my spiritual circle if u understand. Now letting my hair go all out and they r growing together getting really think. My hair type is closer to urs sis. I have a Cherokee bloodline from my mother and my father is West Indian from Mont Serrat. U ever do a photo book on locs I would love to volunteer.

I'm 9 months loc'd. They are not free formed but I'm definitely thinking of getting my hair re-twisted every 3-4 months instead of monthly. I really love this look and it looks fuller. I have thin hair. Keep the #hairporn coming!

Most of these locs give semi free form vibe
A lot of these people do have a lot of hair and their hair looks like 4c hair as well... my hair would never be able to be like that

No I’m with you. I don’t think I could get thick locs either. It’s about parting and also the hair itself.
You have to have dense pore spaces on your head....so you baiscally havr more hairs...I have less dense pore spacing so I have medium locs

3:45 The girls freeforms look like they were started with twist or interlocks but then after only a few inches did she decide to freeform. From there it looks like she got a light retwist on her locks for the shoot or something. Great videos! :D
