I just got an 8 almost 2 weeks ago, and I love it!! The X is pretty expensive, and the only difference I heard is just little better camera quality and Face ID. Otherwise, you save 400 dollars on an 8, and it’s just as good. But if you want the extra bells and whistles then go for an X.

I got iPhone 8 plus 256 GB recently and I must say I m quite satisfied.I previously owned iPhone 6s plus for 2yrs and wanted to buy iPhone X but changed my mind at the last moment.I want to wait for a year or two to see where apple goes from here.Pros for 8plus:
1)Speakers and overall sound quality is SUPER amazing.
2)True tone along with retina HD screen is quite good as it helps to make the screen and apps look more vibrant.
3)With the glass back the phone is more sturdy to hold in hand and looks vintage.
4)It supports wireless fast charging just like iPhone X.
5)Battery is also better than 6S plus.(half an hour extra life) moderate usage
6)I felt that the bezel of 8 plus is couple of mm's shorter than on 6s plus when I placed the phones side by side.I may be wrong.It is not visible readily.
Cons
1)Camera is good but not up to the level of many other phones in the market.I felt iPhone X is better than 8plus in this aspect.
2)True tone doesn't do justice at low level light.
3)It's quite heavy to carry(202 gms)

How did you feel about switching from having a headphone port too not having one? I have the 6 Plus but not having a earphone port and having to use an adapter really has put me off all iPhones
It did take time to adjust but after a while I got used to it.I started using wireless headset more as compared to wired one's.I wanted something that has an old touch but with most of the modern features and iPhone 8 plus did justice in that aspect.It is the result of 3yrs of development on same type and style of iPhone so you can expect the best from it.I am happy with my decision.

There’s nothing worse than listening to music if the headphones keep coming out all the time, that’s one thing that concerns me because the charging port isn’t exactly the most secure thing in the world so have earphones plugged into all the time worries me, also I’m not a fan of wireless stuff, also I have some pretty expensive headphones that are wired so using wireless isn’t an option for me
If you lift things here and there wireless is the best answer.Otherwise the wires might get tangled and interfere with your movement.But everyone has their personal choice and if they think that they can't live without wired headset and also want the latest features then they can choose one of the phones from the Samsung galaxy series.

Like Samsung does have only big phones and I don't like that. Also they don't admit a own software and don't have a nice design at all. Did it myself and saved some money and the waiting period. But you will gain back the crispness it had when it was new. I just got my 8plus yesterday and wow it’s awsome!
