I have no words to express what I feel. The mix of feelings I always have with ruth's characters, and her magnificent portray of them. I did not watch 3x08 yet, I am sure is epic, but I still need to come to terms with the end of my beloved Mrs Coulter.
The evolution she has had, the nuances, how well constructed the character is. (I cant say the same of Asriel... so fucking toxic dude!) but I checked and in books their relationship is quite different, so I keep it that part for myself.

Marisa is such an extraordinary character and I remember how much I cried when I first read the 3rd book 😭 I wish they'd stay true to her and asriel's last scenes bc then it would've been much more heartbreaking.. But still I love this series and the work they've done so so much!! And Ruth Wilson 😭😭 my talented queen!! She truly slayed this role!!

I haven't watched this show before why did she smack the monkey holding her hand 😢
The monkey is her soul. In her world, a person’s soul (called a daemon) is manifested as an animal outside their body. Marisa has a lot of self-hatred, which is reflected in how she treats her daemon. Batting the monkey’s hand away from hers is her way of keeping her emotions out and staying in control.
