@@alyssajohnson3834 The original candid video was more in your face with soul. It was fresh for her as well as us. She threw more energy into the song and was feeling it. This recording was still good, but you can tell she loves it but it's more so that she is sick of singing it and it's just a recording...let's get it over with type of feel. It causes her to not be as powerful and emotional with the song because repetition will do that. Repetition can cause someone to be better in ways but also lose energy and focus where the power needs to come in at. She needs to really bring that everytime and when when she does shows because people want to feel what they felt in her original video and other videos. Volume needs to be in your face a bit more to where when the emotion is felt from her....it is felt within us. I do love this girl no matter what. I could listen and watch her 24/7.

My grand daughters father was murdered outside his house after he did a favor for the very person who killed him and days later I was in my car listening to CZcams as i always do on my way to work and this song started playing and it made me think of him and my daughters love for each other. I didn't know Lady GaGa wrote and sung this song in a movie until i let my daughter hear it. This song was wrote for Lauren without adout. God gave me this song through her and I believe her version is better than them all, even Lady GaGa's version. Lauren sings it from a loving prospective of a sad heart as it should be. I only listen to this version, no one else does it better.

I first heard Lauren sing with Keith Urban live on stage when she was only 15. She is I believe 19 or 20 now and has grown tremendously! It's such a joy to listen to her. It must be something in the water.
I will be honest that I have mixed feelings on this because I listened with a critical ear. Music has been part of my life for over 50 years. Singing, writing, or vocal coaching. She has a wonderful voice but I get the sense that in the post-production they're squashing her voice a bit and not getting the soulful quality out that she's had before as well as some of the high frequency range to the music. There seems to be a dead spot in there.
Don't misunderstand because I'm certainly not saying I don't like her. She has a wonderful voice! Perhaps part of it is that we normally hear a soprano sing it rather than an alto soprano. I'm going to wish her continued success because I'm certainly no one in her career path that will make a difference one way or another. I'm only making observations. I don't want to be overly critical and I would certainly have loved to have been there to hear her singing it live on the monitor speakers.
One thing I can appreciate is that this is a professional recording rather than most that we seem to hear0 these days that are a talent - usually a young girl - that's being run either directly through a karaoke machine with reverb or echo, or it's being excessively added in post-production. At least with Lauren we hear her voice and not overly processed. When you produce you isolate the vocals and there's a lot of tricks that you can use to bounce over to another track and add some of the auto chorus features and whatnot. So I enjoyed listening to HER.
For the record, although I'm listening on CZcams I'm listening with a Sony GTK-XB7 which is 30 watts per channel minimum RMS both channels driven at 3 ohms, from 120-10,000 Hz. Most speakers go to 20,000 Hz but the human vocal range is 300 - 3000 Hz. Musical instruments on the other hand do go higher and perhaps that's what I'm not hearing. I'd rather be listening on my JBL active monitor speakers. Getting a little bit too technical here. But I'm doing so for the benefit of those producing her when many of us are going to be listening on CZcams or our cell phones in general.
