I can't help but feel like they're positioning Chris to take a bit of a more relaxed schedule for a while. I have no problem with him being on commentary because he's really entertaining so I think Mark and Chris on Rampage, Excal/Paul/Tony on Dynamite then a combination switching out week to week for Elevation and Dark
If he's going to re-sign, he's supposed to do commentary

Was that a "FIGHT FOREVER!" chant? Pretty good, eh? I was actually surprised that the Lucha Bros won, pretty much everyone assumed it would be Jurassic Express, but that sequence of false finishes at the end was brutal. It's funny how the Bros went from heels to faces just by choosing to stick with PAC (who's also a heel) rather than joining Andrade el Idolo, but it's mostly just down to them being that damn good and that damn over. Making this match face vs face was the smart move especially when the upcoming match is against the Bucks as the crowd were behind both teams all the way.
Nah JE and Young Bucks met recently wouldn't make sense if they had another march at All Out
Even as heels, people enjoy Lucha Brothers because they’re exciting to watch, especially Fenix. That guy does stuff that is usually only possible in video games
Death Triangle are tweeners, not strictly heels or faces. They are like the Hart Foundation in 1997.

This match was great. My wife is a casual viewer but becoming a fan, and she reacted to Luchasaurus eating all those kicks at the end like Bambi's mom was being shot.
These two teams were like, "Man, Dante Martin showed us up a few weeks ago, we'd better prove that we're not going to be overshadowed."
AEW brought back my luv and addiction to pro wrestling. this is why I fell in love with the sport. Thank you AEW.

That's a code between wrestlers if they don't grip tight your hands it means they are injured and you need to finish asap to go backstage. Check Penta 1:26
There are a few "secret codes" like this one but usually the camera don't zoom on it for immersion lol I guess AEW is more about appreciating the athleticism than faking shit so they don't mind.
Great opener for Rampage. The Milwaukee crowd was hyped for this one..not so much on Dynamite tho. Gotta commend the Lucha Bros..they wrestled on Dynamite and Rampage and didn't skip a beat.

They also wrestle in Mexico with AAA and indie companies in the US back in 2019 before the pandemic penta fought more than 90 matches in a single year

I thought they did a particularly great job with Luchasaurus. He took an infant amount of offense and kept going, which made him look like a beast - but he still got taken down as the Lucha Bros kept at him. He looks strong, and therefore they look strong for beating him. Great stuff!

I know this match is involving current top ranked tag teams, but I can’t help but think about how much depth the AEW tag division has. So many talented teams. They could literally play hot potato with the tag belts every 2-3 months and fans wouldn’t really have a reason to be that upset because they have that many good teams!
I thought J.E. was winning this one despite Lucha Bros have clearly earned a shot. But, I still think Bucks are retaining at PPV.

Agree, it takes you out of the moment. I can have suspension of disbelief and view wrestling as a different fight style in the same way I look at boxing to mma. Only if it's fluent and makes sense. No one will wait to get hit, they'll defend themselves.
Same way I don't like the corner 10 punch spot, you'll have your hands up. If they're going to do a big spot like they did, have the others on the outside of the ring, doing their thing and the two parts come together fluently not just standing and fucking waiting
Overall, I agree with you, but there's a lot of stuff like that that gets a pass. Irish whips, standing there waiting to take a suplex, standing there while your opponent twists around for an arm wringer. We tend to ignore those things because we're used to them being a part of wrestling. To reiterate, I agree with what you're saying, but I think spots like this are a process of finding the balance between entertainment and safety.
