    • @jbsdiytv
      @jbsdiytv Před 9 měsíci

      The pros give 2700-6500 Kelvin so that’s 800-3200 lumens I believe. The both versions are bright as hell. Typically what is used in commercial lighting. I just think the Pros will be easier to work with, have the warm white option and can run more feet instead of multiple power blocks and controllers. If you have a black or brown surface then that’s a plus with the black version

      The website indicates 150ft so I recommend to do just that until the module driver is released. Now, I was able to do two installs with 12 strands(200ft) and I’ve contacted the homeowners said they have had no issues. I will definitely circle back once those drivers get release. Make right choices, install what’s recommended first. Thank you for your support to the channel

    Excellent video! I have a similar frame on my house. I just received the 200ft Pro and I'll need to get creative without making too many splices/extensions while trying to keep those extensions inside my attic as best as possible. Is there any reason not to use insulated cable staples such as DEWALT DRS18100-XJ staples to secure the line along the soffit? Seems like that would be easier than using those clips. Also, I believe there are 60 clips that came with the pro which won't be enough if I go that route. Thanks for this video. It really helped me visualize how I need to tackle my home. 4.75" seems too far from the wall but as you said, that's what the customer wanted. I'm thinking about using 2.5" for mine as it's pretty close to the middle of Govee's recommendation of 3-8cm (1-3 inch).

      Thanks for watching. We have done over 60 installs and tried almost every method to secure these lights. Keep in mind our clients pay high dollar for installs and want no excuses and want the best install that will last so that’s what we provide. We go for a clean, tight and working install as always. You can use a staple gun that has impact settings and it will work but there is a slight gap between the light and the staple. That’s out of my control as the staple gun is designed like that. We have used cable staple gun and the gap is present as well. Also, the staple is bulky. Only 5% them work on hardiplank, the rest just bend. We have done screwed all the clips before but that takes way to much time. We have a least 10hrs to complete a perfect install. That’s why we use the transparent clips so it blends with each soffit. Yes, the customer wanted 4.75 but it wasn’t to bad but yes I agree that these lights are intended to be installed 2-4” from the wall so you get that cone effect.

      It depends. How many controllers do you have? If it’s one as long as it’s near your router to connect first. If it’s two then connect them first in your app and then you can install them. Try and keep them close to your attic entrance to be able to calibrate them if you have the pro version. You can add an extension before you get to your lights and after the controller. If you have non pros then you need to keep in mind that when install left to right it will cast a purple white and right to left will be a greenish white. This is because the non pros use 3 different colors to make white and it’s the way the diode is manufactured in place
