FOUNDATIONS: Both of the foundations wore BEAUTIFULLY! We would say both are great for any skin type, including mature skin! The About Face is beautiful, specifically over texture and/or acne. The Laura Mercier foundation is thinner and a little more lightweight, but if you have oily skin, you want to make sure to set your foundation with a good powder!
CONCEALER: Hi, Johnny here! I love the Laura Mercier concealer. The more I've played with it, I think it is better for combo/oily skin. It truly is just as thin and hydrating as my holy grail NYX Serum Concealer, but Laura's liquid to powder dry down makes it face better on combo/oily skin than the NYX concealer!

Just remember it’s just makeup. I am 44, and have been wearing makeup since I was 15, every day. There are many, many days that I take it off and start all over. Helpful hint, start with your eye makeup, because if that isn’t what you wanted, taking it off is easy and you won’t take any concealer or foundation off. It’s supposed to be fun, and don’t ever feel defeated.♥️
You got this! Just have fun and experiment. Do what makes you happy and tell everyone else’s opinion to f*** off 🙃 I’ve worn makeup everyday since middle school and I just turned 30. There are plenty of days I start over. It takes time to get the technique that works for you anddd the products that work for you too. Sometimes it’s the quality of the product, and not you doing anything wrong. Have confidence in yourself!No one is a pro overnight ❤
Trust the process! And try not to overly focus on the mistaces.
I just today tried to tightline, but irritated my eye and blinked. The result were black stripes over the finished eye look. So I turned then into a scar-like black line. This is what I learned over the years: accidents always happen. You will always find something you don't like about how it turned out, because over time our standard becomes higher, and maybe we notice more details. Like I can tell that the shape of my eyeshadow is slightly off on one side, but also eyes are not the same and literally nobodys gonna notice or care.
Take a look at the progress you made! Highly encourage you to do full looks and take a picture with a timestamp. And then look back at them, and you will see how much you learned and how much easier everything feels!
You got this! Making mistakes is how you learn and we're all still learning. I've been wearing makeup since before these boys were born and I still have to wipe it off and start over sometimes, or just completely change my plan. Just have fun and don't worry about it. ♥

I love it when you guys go full glam. One of the reasons I love you guys is that you aren't afraid to bring the drama. I don't want to be a pretty girl, I want to be a powerful woman. Of course, people are going to say, "(Straight) Men don't like dramatic makeup" and I say, "Good! I want my makeup to make straight cis boys back the fuck up." My aesthetic is not quite drag, it's sort of a "Disney villain on her day off" look.

I have been using the NYX concealer serum for a couple of years now, and it’s my all time favorite. I tried the Haus Labs, and it’s okay, but nothing will replace my Nyx. I may have to give the Laura Mercier concealer a try. I like Medium coverage, even light is okay for me. I am not, and never have been a full coverage girl. I actually trust you two for product recommendations, and I usually don’t use affiliate links, but that may change because of you two. I like you alone Johnny, but you and Kevin together, chef’s kiss. You are the best friends I didn’t know I needed.♥️

The Performer from Halsey's AboutFace is AMAZING on my skin . There's so many foundations I have worn that I cannot WAIT to get it off my face~ like a bad bra that you can't wait to get off the MINUTE you get home. It lasted through gym, boxing, work, etc, and left my skin feeling amazing all day long. Took it off, and my skin felt soft and looked better afterward. It is AMAZING.
