Thank you so much for listening - you make a real difference in my life, you enable me to be able to do what I love, and I am beyond grateful!
So HAPPY to see you moving around. Dancing improvement can come later.😜
the first move they do is the charleston and its hard for most people with 2 feet and requires alot of ankle movement
Actually, it is a piece of footwork influenced by both a part of The Charleston and some pieces of footwork done in Tap. The piece is independent of both styles of dance that showed up in jazz dance classes in the early 1970's. Young folks were putting it into their newly invented dances starting about then.
The amount of joy this seemed to give you, brought me so much joy! Loved it!
You are, by far, the most fun CZcamsr in the history of CZcams.
Oh my gosh hahaha why thank you! 😆💜😊
You know what you've done now, Jo? You've managed to do something you couldn't even do before your amputation. Your dead ankle wouldn't even let you try to dance. But here you are having a blast, pain being the last thing on your mind most likely. On a graph where your mobility starts being charted from the day you decided to amputate it goes down for a long time, only recently did it start going up with your new leg(s), and finally, now the line on the graph goes to the highest point on the chart yet. Finally higher than where you started. Here's to another victory!
I'll post a video on my channel, with a small portion of it showing Jo dancing on the dead ankle.
@@jeffpearsall32 oh wow, I guess I'll stand corrected, anyhow, we know she was in more pain then.
It was at that concert, that I realized the foot was coming off.😖
So when you master that dance are you moving on to tap dancing?
This is awkward and so much cute and heartwarming c:
Hahaha awkward and cute and heartwarming are the best comments I could hope for 😂
Just woke up from a nap, and the first dialog in this video starts in the first second. I swear you just said "how do naked bodies do that?"
One day, Dancing With the Stars!
Literally a dream of mine. 😉 Like Amy Purdy! Her dances were INCREDIBLE.
David Goodridge Yes! Definitely! That would be so cool to see!
I got both legs but can’t dance better than you! ;) good to see you dancing, walking, jumping and smiling without crushes! You look gorgeous!
Yes we love you. I can’t dance and I have both legs. I just can’t translate what I see on video into instructions for my body to copy. Also I can never remember the steps.
Dancing is such a good way to get exercise. You did incredibly well, even if you weren't continuing to learn how to walk on a prosthetic. I'm impressed!
It's so nice to see you really enjoying yourself making these tiktok videos. It's also very nice to see your getting a lot more confident on your new leg.
I LOVED watching this! Seeing the pure joy on your face is such an inspirational moment! Sending love your way ❤️❤️
What is so cool about this video is you are having a great time and totally enjoying yourself and letting loose. Priceless!

So happy for you x
We love you, especially when you make a fool of yourself dancing!
Jo you can do it. We love you.❤️
Thank you for making my day 😂🙃🙂
Excellent👏🏆
You are probably right about this being great rehab for your leg! I would join you in this endeavor, but I get my cardio workout just by styling my hair and/or putting makeup on. Today, I put a full face of makeup on for the first time in a year, and my heartrate went above 140 while I was doing it. Gotta love being a POTSY!
Amazing job on getting that done!! That’s such a big deal! I think that’s a huge achievement - and some serious cardio. 😉
A paralympian won dancing with the stars in France, dancing on a prosthetic limb, being a professional swimmer AND a below the knee amputee (well born without it ) ! Check it out ! His name is Sami el Gueddari
You go jo so happy you can do that
You did great Jo. Dance is great for the mind body and soul if you enjoy it. So keep dancing like noones watching. Even if we are.
You’re a brave goofball ! Dance on, Jo!!
I agree with D. Goodridge. My first thought was how do we get her on “Dancing with the Stars ⭐️ “???? Hey Jo every day your love of life with all that you have been through continues to make you shine and give inspiration to all who do or do not have all their limbs. As your cat 🐈 (quite cute) decided to butt in so did no my own little DannyBoy. He is an American Eskimo, a little white dog that looks like a small Samoyed who just loves to lay across my laptop like cats used to just to love to lay across the morning newspaper while drinking coffee. Anyway, much love and light to you on your healing journey. You are doing so much for your own peace of mind while inspiring those of us who deal with our own aches and pains. I am the gal who shattered my ankle and am considering a fusion. However, I continue to just walk through the pain and then stay off of it til it passes again. I used to love horseback riding and hiking, etc. I am now 57 and so glad I did those things in my late teens and early 20’s. So I get your story and how much you have gone through all while being truthful and not sugarcoating the details. Your honesty and your soul simply shine through on all of your videos. For that and being YOU, I wish you, Brian and all of your furbabies a fabulous holiday season. My gifts for the holidays show up each time I watch one of your videos - even when you talk about the dark side of chronic pain, etc. (I did listen to the song you mentioned about suicide, my own mother did when I was 17 years old and the song does speak volumes to those in pain or heartache of any kind so thank you for talking about it. My mom’s mental illness is what has continued to give me the strength to carry on, so your words meant quite a bit to me. See how much you do for so many of us?? Please do not ever forget!) You my dear shine like the stars and I wish you and your many loved ones a happy holiday season!! Much love and light to all of you in 2020!! Heather
Get it, Jo! 😂😎
We love you because you make a fool of yourself dancing
Haha I’ll take it! 😆💜
Don't give up ,you've taught yourself to walk take the next step ,good luck
I tried to get TikTok and since my phone is stoopid, and it isn't designed for Kindle, I am unable to access the App. I shall just have to watch you here. And, Yes we love you whatever you say or do. I speak for me when I say it matters not, I will continue to love you, my beautiful Internet friend. Period.

Do the Carlton with Cakes...
I hope you give swing dance lessons a try and report back to us. It's a great source of fun!
omg your leg muscles 😍😍😍 (not the metal one)
Not a leg to stand on 😂, but dang I'd watch you dance all day 👍
Honestly the Charleston is so hard! I have been dancing for a year and I just figured it out
Are you using the pin at the end of the liner system or the sleeve system?
Nice dear
Is you leg just atrophied at the moment? Great dancing by the way! 💖
Gymnastics next!
The last move they do is called an undulation or a body wave, depending on the dance style it's used in. since it's them, I'd say they'd call it a body wave. Of all the moves they did there, it's the one with the biggest ah-hah moment. When you first get it, you wonder how you managed to not figure it out. But I'll save the instructions for a video. ;)
So I met this women, about 40ish about a month ago, started talking to her complete stranger, ..... we both went back n forth talking for 5-10 minutes, I almost asked her number or something, but stopped myself .... when I got in my car & started it, I began kicking myself for not asking a number or name or anything ...... all the way home I kept thinking about her, She was on crutches & I THINK she had a prosthetic leg but not sure as I was so into what she was saying I didnt even notice. She said she had been in a bad car accident a few months before. - Ive went back to that same place like 3 times, same time but she wasnt there. ..... i felt that spark, that dose of endorphines , I thought about her for the next month or so & finally gave up. I just wanted to help her somehow & talk & hang out. The fact she did, or didnt have both legs did not matter. At all. - Odd comment I know but oh well.
"You love me right?" Haha, YES!! That was actually exactly what I was thinking during the whole video; Absolutely LOVE YOU!!
ahh beautiful
Don't give up
😎😎😎😀

You probably know better than I do but I find blades so much easier, especially when working out
