Do you remember
the road we once walked
full of thorns and branches
You held my hand
guiding me through the dark night
until we saw the light
Do you remember
the tears that fell
when we realized what we’d lost
Your warm hand in mine
holding on as we turned back
letting our memories guide us
Do you remember
the hurt and the anger
cutting through our hearts
I took your hand
and helped you remember
what was there before
Do you remember
summer nights and sunshine
the light in your heart
as you held my hand
telling me you would always remember
what we had found
