    I’ve been using (expensive) brick-slips, but am loving the possibilities using this technique, instead!
    Thank-You!!

    Used the stone stencil and compound on my DHE Cumberland Castle - astonishing results! Takes the build to a whole new level - even in my beginner hands!!

    I model in much smaller scales for model railways, and keep getting these by YT suggestions.
    I have to say the algorithms must be working, as I’m getting interested in having a looking at building a dolls house.
    It has to be easier on the eyes than 4mm scale.

    It looks beautiful! I do have to say that i personally like the paperclay method better. A little bit more work, but it looks more natural.

    How lovely I might be brave enough to try this once I've finished my first house/shop combi. I have two other houses waiting a very large homemade house and a tudor house I'm so excited to get going on them but one at a time eh lol

      Does this technique work well on a plain MDF but already built dollhouse? I bought an MDF Georgian Dalton and it is unpainted but is already totally built. Would the stencil work or should I look at another brick technique such as slips?

    • @BromleyCraftProducts
      @BromleyCraftProducts  Před 2 lety

      @@OurLittleOrganicLife The technique does work on ready-built dolls houses but, depending on the design, it can be more difficult and time consuming. You need to be able to lay the stencil flat against all of the wall surfaces so any fixed raised mouldings such as quoin stones or window cills will be in the way. Ideally you would need to remove these parts first, but if this isn't possible you can work around them. You can cut the stencil to fit around any obstacles, but this can be fiddly and time consuming.

    Outstanding! I've been stuck on a project because I could not figure out how to do a convincing brick texture. I knew I didn't want to use those cheap looking brick sheets or fiddle around with styrofoam or egg carton material. Your stencils are perfect. Is it possible you sell this in the States? Thank you!

    Does this work only on wood? My dollhouse is new.

    • @BromleyCraftProducts
      @BromleyCraftProducts  Před 2 lety

      Hi, Most dolls houses are made from Plywood or MDF and the brick compound works well on these materials. It can also be applied to other materials providing they are reasonably smooth and rigid and the surface is suitably prepared. If in doubt about a particular material please enquire or test on a small area.
