This is why anime movies are great, its because despite the unrealistic situation they are in, the root of the problems and issues are grounded
climate change is real so the situation is likely to happen
True
Can say the same for every other animated genre
True
Makoto shinkai's films is the best
As someone who often get overly attached with places, buildings, things, etc, this movie hits hard.
I completely understand. It was a very tough pill to swallow, but it did teach me a lesson. I only hope that I can apply it to my real life
totally, same
like anime etc ......
Okay I will watch it.
So true
This looks both wholesome and emotional at the sametime 😭
spoiler they forgot to pay the electric bill
It's wholesional
Ikrrr
I SRS WANNA CRY ALR
It is too i wanna cry now 😭😭😭

In my opinion this movie shows that theres goods memories in the past you wanted to go back badly but you cant this movie had me in tears many times because i can relate to it what a movie 10/10
Omg, same!!!!😭💛
Same my guy
The expressions, storytelling, and the perfect visuals makes anime better than movies
Than reality too🌚
Actual plot also matters
This is an anime movie XD I know what you mean though
90s movies >>>>>>>>>>>>>
Lord of the Rings >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This looks like an intermediate of Makoto Shinkai and Studio Ghibli movies lol I love it!
this was literally my first thought too!!! omg
Thanks for noticing too😂
For me, Ishida reflects Mamoru Hosoda more than Shinkai or Ghibli and I highly recommend checking out his other works such as Penguin Highway, Fastening Days, and Sunny Boy and Dewdrop Girl. Definitely a highly anticipated director!
Why these movie potray tokyo or japan always flooded
Just finished watching this. Made me cry. The young characters reminded me of my childhood friendships. There’s something so special about this movie. It made me experience the joy, fun and love of child likeness. I moved to another country when I was a kid and miss that time of my life so much ❤
At a time when our lives are becoming more and more difficult, I hope that the main character will have a happy ending in this beautiful Animated film from the Colorido Studios even in his Animation favorite! and I'm also very excited because it opens on the same day as my birthday and it will be the best gift of the month of September! ✨🎊 🌊💙🎉.
Are you praying to Netflix or something?

Same! Their music is a bit sad but fantastic. I'm really happy to see them as the featured musicians for this movie!
I always have them on my playlist with Eve and Yorushika.
Can you tell me what song this is, I’ve been trying to find it for a while

I love that animes go beyond imagination.

Literally one of the best anime movie i've watched🥲
fr this anime is so freaking good but underrated asf
@@leviackerman-ej1qi yeah
I just finished watching this and it truly shows that the past can really tie you down, and if you hold onto it for so long you'll end up drifting away from the present.
This looks really amazing! I cannot wait for this one, the animation looks so beautiful!
I feel like this is a movie explaining the hard feelings of leaving your home where u stayed with all your loved ones and friends. I kind of get it when I had to leave my apartment with my mom and now my uncle is there with his family renovated everything I feel like all my tracks of childhood and memories have been erased when he renovated the whole thing.
That’s the message I got. The story itself of what happened didn’t make sense, but it’s message hit hard. I miss the home I grew up in. My own home still doesn’t compare to when I lived with my parents.
I watched it and it’s sad but very meaningful! What I’ve realised from the movie (I may not be right) but that the movie is all about letting go the past and going into the future because sometimes it’s better to let go than stay.
That, and that sometimes you shouldn't waste your life pursuing something unnatainable when the good things in your life are right by your side.
One question. I'm writing a crossover fanfic focused around "Silent Hill" and I was planning to involve Noppo in the story, but here's the thing... I would like to involve two older Kosuke and Natsume in the story, but, should they be teenagers or adults in a relationship ? What would people be more interested in reading ?
Oh ! And, should I involve Reina and her friend in the story ? While the other boys might have been somewhat useless sometimes (that's one of my two complaints regarding this movie), I wasn't that uninterested in her and her friend's story as I was in the boys. In fact, I think the adventure helped Reina grow a bit as a person, as she seemed to understand she couldn't waste all of her strengths in pursuing something unnatainable (in this case the love of an uninterested guy in exchange for the love of someone who was already by her side). Natsume almost did that mistake with the building, and it nearly costed her self love. Anyway, back to Reina, I wouldn't mind seeing her grow a bit more.
@@JabamiLain Hmm I would probably say teenagers? But older like 17-19. I think teens is perfect because they are more reckless making the stories more intriguing and exciting! It would be cool to see the teens mature more throughout the fanfic and to grow even more in their personalities!
@@katedaisy1758 sorry for the late reply.
Anyway, I was indeed aiming more towards the 17 year old option. Now, just need to think about what they would see in "Silent Hill". It's Noppo who accidentally calls them once he himself is summoned there, that much I know. And, just like Noppo is supposed to represent Alessa's pre-teen years when she first got pregnant and her powers were amplified, the pair is supposed to represent Heather's teenage years as she became trapped in the town, unable to give birth to God, who doesn't seem to wish pain as supply anymore, uncertain of her and God's final destiny.
The thing is... How should they see the town ? Should they see it differently or in the same way, with the same monsters and places ? Before your answer, Kosuke and Natsume would be in a relationship, but Kosuke would wish to travel around the world in a sabbatic year while trying to decide what he really wanted while Natsume prefered to stay in Japan and start her advocacy course right away.
Noppo's problem is the fact he and his kind don't seem to hold any real place in the world. I mean, are they supposed to remain in that stagnant island as children immitations forever ? They let go of the past, but should they let go of the future as well ?
And back to Reina, she seems like the kind of person who will go on to learn even more about humility. The most important she needs to learn however is regarding how she handles her rivals. I think she could be forced to play a crucial role in helping Heather giving birth to her baby. Still need to think where she and Natsume are going to be at though. While I think she would have moved on from her crush, she nearly watched Judy lose her life. She doesn't seem like the kind of person to forgive that easily, even after years. How she'll see the town ? I might have to make a hard decision regarding that one if I want her to see the Town in its monstrous form.
@@katedaisy1758 sorry for the long comment. I can get carried away sometimes.
Just finished watching it and I have to say, I love it so much.
Like already mentioned by someone in the comments. Anime movies never fails to end out a message.
For all intents and purposes you can interpret this movie as something akin to the saying "if u love something then let it go"
It goes deeper than that in my eyes but the basis is the same. A girl not wanting to leave her safe haven and having to learn how to say goodbye... even if she detested that notion.
10/10 movie must watch.
I just watched this. It's the most sweetest show!!!Made ma laugh, cry, smile, scream and was amazing!!!!!
Especially the 2 main protagonists sibling like relationship!!! It was so cute!!! Totally worth watching!!!! 10/10
I was NOT prepared for that one scene of girlie’s hand slipping.😭
Or for the other girl to hit her head like that..ouch
I want to live like this but I grateful at the same time I still want to have friends like that
Every single second of this movie was worth watching
I couldn't hold back and i cried out loud 😭😭😭
Such a masterpiece...
Netflix recommended this movie so i am looking for reviews is it good enough like the story and characters
@@tyrantgaming6352 ask me
It's worth watching man...
This is amazing! The scenes with Nappo are so emotional 😭
Just watched this movie and I LOVED IT! So many good values. There's comedy, love, sentiment, suspense, horror (just that one part), sadness, realistic issues, heart. This movie has everything. I continue to be amazed at how creative the story writing was.
This Movie is so heartwarming, specially to those who hold a sentimental value into everything. I highly recommend it. ❤
I've just watched this heart-warming movie. 2 hours for this movie and it's worth it. Each kids have their own personalitíe, maybe some time they make you laugh, angry, wondering why they act like that, but at the end, they are so lovely and pure. I love them and this movie so much T-T
This looks real good, can't wait ! (Also I recognised AcaNE's voice right away, so can't wait for the full song either 🤩)
this movie is a work of art!!! the animation is awesome & the story just brings you up and down like a sea wave is just a top notch! I wonder if Noppo represents the soul of the apartment. leaving the house you used to live is hard, because there were a lot of memories were made there.
the artstyle is so pretty
What a perfect birthday gift thanks Netflix for the movie and zutomayo for the song
Been waiting for Studio Colorido's next movie since watching Penguin Highway in 2019. So hyped!
There is no shadow of a doubt I’m watching this movie. Penguin highway was a masterpiece and still is one of my favourite anime movies and the setting reminds me of sonny boy which was amazing as well so I hope Studio Colorido can pull this off to the same standard.
Just watched this movie couple nights ago. i had tears in eyes towards the end
when i was a kid, the Taiwan 1022 earth quake in 1999 severely damaged my school, there were giant cracks in the walls, windows were all blown out, i didn't know why, but i touch the wall and said, thank you for protecting us, before my teacher hurried us out the building. I am a very nostalgic person, i believe there is a spirit in everything, i am very respectful of them and It is very hard to let go.
Just completed it,
It was actually wholesome
The expressions, storyline which keeps you seated till the end, characters, concept and emotions... These are just the reason why I loved this Anime movie❤️
Just finished watching. My God what a roller coaster of emotions
Absolutely loved A Whisker Away! Going to love this!
Beautiful movie, sometimes I drive by my old Apartment complex my family use to live in , it was an apartment complex my people move into when they got into the USA after the Vietnam war , so everyone knew each other , of course it wasn’t the nicest of places but it was my own little world. I can remember chasing the Ice Cream man, playing Marbles , Tag , and hide and seek, One time it was really late and dark and my Grandparents lock up the doors so I couldn’t get in so I was in the dark crying in the middle of the complex where there was a little light pole that had some light, and when my mom finally drove in the complex was so happy.
Just watched it and i have to say that i didn't expect this to be this deep and emotional. I started watching it because the concept of a floating apartment block caught my attention.
!SPOILER ALERT!: The whole idea of Noppo being the soul of the building is super creative, unique and beautiful.
However i do have two minor things to criticise: 1.) I wish all of the kids that were trapped in this building would've been former residents of this building and not just the two main characters. The other kids just don't share the same connection to Noppo (The building) as Natsume and Kosuke who lived there in the past. They kinda feel like unlucky kids, who accidentally got caught up in something that doesn't concern them and therefore they don't feel relevant to the story. It would've been much better if all the kids had a connection to Noppo.
2.) It got all a bit to chaotic and over dramatic towards the end. It was like a back and forth game between leaving Noppo behind or taking him with them. And all those crazy animations with the building spiralling out of control into some kind of abyss and than suddenly flying instead of floating back home... There was a bit to much going on for me. The farewell to Noppo could've been done in a more subtle and dignified way.
I love this anime, I love watching movies like this and makes you cry so much
This looks awesome
THIS LOOKS AMAZING OMG
I WAS CRYING WATCHINg IT😭😞
Me too😭
I love animation like this.
The best of all. So much emotions while watching this. Everyone should watch it.
Kids say goodbye to their beloved childhood home in the most spectacular and adventure filled way. There’s also a song that kind of imitated Plastic Love but its cool.
I will be bringing tears and tissues in my viewing, I think this will be an emotional tale. I’m ready.
This movie is so great, it has such great details and shows they aren’t perfect either. There’s some scenes i noticed things like accidentally grabbing someone’s sleeve instead of their hand and then correcting it and that’s very human instead of everyone being perfect all the time this movie is so freaking goof
THIS LOOKS SO GOOD I WANT TO WATCH IT ASAP
何! Netflix should really promote this anime! It's so underrated! Literally a great anime to watch!
We need more anime movies on Netflix!
Ok, this looks wonderful and amazing! I can't wait to see it!

An amazing anime that you do not understand at first and its not known who and what it is all about. Later on you find out that its about Doppo and how he struggles to let things go and how that effects everyone he is trying to help. Letting go of the bad and remembering the good times is all we can do when the time has past. (This is what I think I could be totally wrong)
I think the trailer for this dropped more than 6months ago on the "what's new" section of netflix.. feels like forever, very keen!
Really good movie. Reminded me a lot of studio ghibli type of trance. Wonder if I will have a similar nostalgia towards it if I rewatch it in a year or so.
It has everything you want: spirits, kids doing kid things, drama, the typical wholesome grandparent etc etc. highly recommended
