      How are you now? I'm now 6 days PO and I'm finding it very difficult. Swelling is worse now than after day 2 or 3. The 2 areas with the most pain pre-op are still there now. I'm also able to bend it less than when I was in the hospital because the swelling is worse. Is this normal in the first week?
      I'm worried but my surgeon says surgery went great. I also hear a slight click now when I walk. I'm starting to regret this surgery, but the pain before it was unbearable and I couldn't walk. Hopefully week 2 I see signs of improvement

    I had zero knee pain then boom, overnight, bad knee pain. I usually walk 10 to 14,000 steps a day. I am nearly a month into the knee pain and stairs don’t bother me, walking long distance no problem with a soft brace. The pain at first kept me in bed. Now I’m back up to about three miles per day with a constant pain of 2-3. I went to my doctor after one week and he did not do any of the test that you showed, and just said I had arthritis.

      I am bone on bone with both of my knees. I'm putting off knee replacement as long as I can. My pain Dr has been burning the nerves in my knees that relate to arthritic pain. This cuts the pain 50% or more. Because your nerves grow back it needs to be done every 6-8 mos. I also use braces called Offloader braces. They decrease the bone-on-bone contact as you walk.

      Sitting here, icing my new knee watching this. Lose as much weight as possible. It will slow the problems exponentially. I’ve always struggled with my weight, every pound is like 5# to your poor knee because of impact and load movement. I wish I had lost more before surgery, but I kept falling because my knee gave out. 50# more to go. Think about it, a tiny rock in your shoe hurts, it would hurt a lot more if you were carrying a five year old child. Wish you the best with your pain, keep fighting the fight.

    Im 27, both my knees crack loud when i bend them, many times a day. Sometimes i have inflamation around knee cap. Sometimes i have pain. More than 2 years with those symptoms. I have worked 8 years as e designer always sitted in front of computer. My tibia looks like it is rotated outside on both legs. Do i have otheoarthritis?

      It could be ostheoarthritis it might be a good idea to get some x-rays taken.

    • @lindaw.5836
      @lindaw.5836 Před 4 lety +2

      There absolutely is, you can get a partial knee replacement (only half knee) or total knee replacement (full, or both parts of knee replacement) this (total) is what I'm on the waiting list for. Been waiting 5 years! Now we have Coronavirus 😬.

      Only in late stages with the cartilage is gone and bone on bone. It's messed up that's all there is. Or if you find out in very early stages you may be able to halt it but idk. If your knee is misaligned get it straight otherwise will create more damage faster.

    2. Lose 15 lbs.
    3. Flex the knee a lot, with and without a knee brace.
    4. 400 mg of Ibuprofen before bed 2x-3x a week.
