I saw this house with a note on the mailbox and what looked like a covered front sidewalk so I thought I would investigate. The note confirmed that it was vacant and I tapped around with my shovel to confirm there was a sidewalk there. After a few dings it was very obviously there but what I didn’t know until I started shoveling all the dirt off was that it was a completely brick sidewalk. After I got done removing all the dirt, I finished up all the edging and mowing to reveal a brand new looking yard.

Mist beautiful end result I ever seen❤
I’m in the 1%! WooHoo
I finally decided to get a tee but there’s no shipping to the Philippines 😭😭
I have watched a lot of your videos that have motivated me to do good things like you. I'm from Vietnam Wish you good health and may your channel be strong forever
Seeing how the street is also brick, makes me think this was an original house in this neighborhood. Wonderful job clearing that walkway... I'm sure the neighbors will enjoy using it.
I love the brick street and sidewalk- they have much more charm than concrete or cement
Where I live there’s a whole neighborhood like it and it called the Prince Charles district. Very nice neighborhood too
I was wondering why this house appears to be facing the wrong way. But, being built before the street was, explains it. The other lots may have originally belonged to this property.
We were sad in Bay View WI when they paved over the last red brick road.
Yeah, Vickie, I was thinking the same thing. Even just a small area of bricks is a TON of manual labor, but then an entire sidewalk AND in the street. More craftsmanship in the olden days than now when everything is pre-fab.
The neighboring homes look very well kept. I’m sure they were thrilled to have this yard cleaned up.
You would think that 4 or 5 of those homeowners would get together and do this, I damn sure would if I was a neighbor there.
So maybe take care of it if nobody else does?! I mean you do have to live next to it! Decreases your property value. What’s 15 minutes a week…
Wow true, it's a lot of labor and you did it with flying colors
@@shannonwilliams1941 Not everyone purchases a house with the intention of selling; and this means that the property value is not always a concern. "Starter homes" are a waste of money.
@@Jeff-lu9wiThis yard more than most on this channel looks like it wouldn’t be that much for someone who likes to be outside and has the equipment to maintain for the good of the neighborhood
Literally 99% of you won't see this but, I hope everybody had a good day, and God bless you🙏
Thank you, and God bless you, too
Thank you, and may ELOHIYM bless you and your family too!😊
Thank you!!! I do pray your day is blessed also!✌️💖🙏🙌🕊️
Blessings
Bless you also and have a great day.
Just want to say you have a life-long subscriber after you saved that cat at Edgar & Ivy's in Corpus Christi. If anyone reading this hasn't watched that video, you need to. Outstanding young man here [Spencer].
I just saw that video yesterday and I would have to say Spencer is an outstanding person. I will continue to support and share his channel, so he can keep up the incredible work he does.
I was just thinking about the cat rescue when I was watching this video.
SB you need to update us on the rescue cat .
Hi 👋
From Lubbock 💖
I saw that one too
@@MelodyB-cp1by I emailed Spencer about the cat several weeks ago but never heard. I’d sure like to know too. Hopefully he was adopted!
What is the name of the video so I can watch it.....
Exposing brick, and the architecture of house makes me wonder how old is this property.
As always SB you did amazing job!❤
I wondered the same thing. Gotta be at least 100 years old; maybe 1910 or so. Love the style. Don't build like that nowadays. Hope someone buy and renovates it.
That must be an historic house, to have a nice brick sidewalk that matches the street. 🙂 Thank you, Spencer, for making it beautiful again!
Were the curbs granite? t The house across the street from my inlaws even had a mounting stone out front by the curb .
Growing up, we would play football in our side yard. There wasn't a sidewalk on that side of the driveway, so where there should have been a sidewalk was one endzone. Years later, the landlord found the hidden sidewalk ... under 9 inches of dirt and grass. It was in pristine condition. Actually there were hidden sidewalks in various areas around the yard, but most weren't as nice because of tree roots. I found one accidentally in 5th grade when I jumped out of a tree and landed on the grass on top of some of the jacked-up bricks. Sprained my ankle. I found another one the summer before eighth grade when I passed out while practicing my trombone behind the back porch (we had a "shed roof and wall at the back and there was a spot for a window, but replaced with corkboard). I put my sheet music on it so I could practice. I am asthmatic and passed out and fell backward onto the grass. I hit my head and ended up with a concussion. We STILL didn't know there was a sidewalk there until it happened again 8 weeks later. I quit the trombone, lol.
Lol, all I can come up with is... you should've gone for percussion, not concussion.
@@DD-mp9okspot on 😭
@@DD-mp9ok That deserves a round of applause.
The work you do is incredible and enhances neighborhoods all over the region. The world needs more folks like you!
You’re doing a great job on that brick sidewalk. Couldn’t help but notice that brick street! I love that street. Where I was born, they had a brick Main Street. It’s in Oklahoma. It’s still there and so are the brick. I’m 76 . You do such good work! I pray that the Lord will return the blessing to you for the hard work that you do. There are those of us out here that appreciate what you do . ❤
❤
Love the old brick sidewalk. Thanks for giving the old girl her dignity back. She’s been horribly mistreated. 😊❤
I wanted you to know that your channel is an inspiration. Because of your channel (and 2 others), that I was inspired to help an elderly neighbour (a very nice lady). The only tools I can afford are some clippers, a small hand rake and spade, and a pair of scissors. I have now weeded the entirety of the interior and exterior fence areas and am almost finished her vegetable garden. I learned from you. You showed me I could do this, so I thank you for the education. I thought you should know that you do inspire others. Greetings from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada.
Kudos to you for helping her out!
An electric weed eater is only $60.
@@DDD11239 Not in Canada they're not. Even if they were, still can't afford it. I'm fine with what I've got, it works, does the job.
So obviously this has been covered for years and just mowed over. The city put concrete on the rest of the sidewalks but this one remained "original." Love it.
They couldn't concrete it because its been covered with grass for too long lol they didn't know it was there
The road is brick too, is that unusual?
They should paint it yellow and call it the yellow brick road
Spencer, got a slogan for you:
SB mowing, beautifying the neighborhood, one house at a time. 👍
Made the house appealing to those who make love to renovate! God bless your back. Keep it strong and pain free.
Make love lol
I think about what his back goes through every week but he's young as long as he doesn't hurt it he should be fine
Let's hope someone appears who has the knowledge and energy to renovate. Most abandoned buildings can be renovated, but if there are leaks in the roof, it can be hard.
Just look at that beautiful street! You know that was a community proud of thier homes. Just the mussings of an 81 YEAR OLD LADY.❤❤❤❤❤
At the end of your intro, you always make me smile with that SB Mowing..out! Dip! 😀👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧
Smile 😃
😀👍👍👍🇬🇧
Oh my! Look what a little pride in your workmanship and attention to detail changed this beautiful property. You should be very proud. The brick walkway and the brick street has such a rich history you exposed. That home deserves a family to refurbish her to her glory! Thanks Spencer ❤🙏🏻🇺🇸🦅
Its amazing spencer while your shoveling you never seem to miss the wheel barrow and at any distance..great Marksmanship!!
My thoughts exactly
Wouldn’t wanna be running from him if he had a gun!
Watching you shovel the sidewalks is so much more satisfying than watching other youtubers pressure wash a grass covered brick sidewalk; that turned into a disgusting muddy mess. It would have been fine if they had removed dirt and grass first but they just sprayed it.🤢
I've seen that too and I know who you are talking about. That really is the epitome of laziness - just making mud.
OK so I'm not the only one that feels that way? Cool 😅
@@ncfriend5233 Well, I liked the end result and that is really counts! Not how you got there. If they had left things a muddy mess, i would have agreed with you. But that isn't what happened.
Spencer!! The Seeker of Sidewalks 😂😂 I couldn't help it, you really are the seeker of covered finished surfaces, and your ability to seek out finished surfaces that are completely concealed under years of mother nature will never cease to amaze me. Keep up the incredible work!
I love a good snappie saying The seeker of sidewalks... Well put👍
whoever laid down those bricks did a spectacular job. it has withstood the test of time. and the stone sidewalk is just beautiful
Hi Spencer! So much back breaking work on the sidewalk...such a beautiful treat . Fantastic before and after pictures. Thanks for All you do!
It is such a pleasure to see a house in an interesting neighborhood of old houses where the houses and lawns look like they are being well cared for. That beige house next door was charming. I hope someone buys this house and fixes it up. It is worth saving.
Your humor is on point, always puts a smile on my face!
Hi, Spencer! This was the prettiest sidewalk I ever seen you uncover. It’s beautiful. Great job.
What a beautiful old sidewalk...buried treasure.
Such a beautiful street with well-kept older homes. A shame to see this home fall into such disarray. Hopefully somebody will see the cleaned up property and do a renovation. Spencer, you did a knockout job !!
It is amazing how an SB Mowing yard overhaul makes a run-down, abandoned home seem to stand up straighter! Booyah, Spencer!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The house will probably never be lived in again but the lawn now looks amazing!
Good Morning Spencer! Watching you from the western side of the states as I have morning coffee. Thank you for all you do as you continue to show how much you care about these forgotten and neglected properties. Please continue to be safe and careful always being mindful of your health. Wishing you and Mrs. SB a wonderful day! 💕
Amazing job again!! Can't thank you enough for all your support!
You uncovered a beautiful walkway. I love a brick walkway. Good job
Happy Friday!!! Thx again for all you do to keep communities looking beautiful. Let's get to mowing!!
This is "OVER THE TOP!" BEAUTIFUL JOB SPENCER! I PRAY FOR YOUR BACK EVERY DAY! GOD BLESS!🎉
This is probably my favorite before and after you've ever done. I love the exposing of the brick path and stone walkway.
I often look at the abandoned houses that you work on and I imagine the lives that have came and gone through their doors, the families that have seen that property as their dream come true, and then I wonder about the last time someone closed and locked the door behind them.
Did they know they were never coming back, or did they leave one morning with a list of things for their day, and a plan for their dinner they would have in their home that evening, only for the house to never know the sounds of human voices again?
Dang it...got me teary eyed. 😢😿
Wow that sidewalk looks nice. Great job Spencer on giving that neighborhood a better view after cleaning up that yard, and for all your hard work of course!
I hope the neighbors take turns maintaining it. Pretty straightforward yard. Maybe 30 minutes on riding mower.
You are a blessing to home owners and neighborhoods alike. Your work is impeccable. Good job. You inspire this 77 yo to do her lawn work.
You make it all look so easy!
That was unbelievable the difference you made on that property. You do such good work, keep it up, I love watching you doing a good deed for other people.
Looks wonderful... that is an old sidewalk, glad to see some old architecture still around.
That must of been a really nice place having a red brick road like that it took a while to lay all those bricks you never see this anymore
Yup. I thought the same thing.
Man I love your posts. I will literally sit and binge watch all of these. I've watched a few of them many many times.
It amazes that the brick walkway was in such good shape considering all the grass on top of it ! Very impressive work
Unusual, we have many brick streets in our town as it dates back to early 1800’s but brick SIDEWALKS in not something you see much. Very cool & you did it well as usual for the neighborhood.
Absolutely love the fact that there is a brick sidewalk. Shows the history of the area and it looks pretty amazing :)
I love the brick roadway too! Now the sidewalk matches.
Hi Spencer, I really admire your hardwork and passion in what you're doing. I always look forward for your new post since I've already watched all your prevoius videos. It's evening here in the Philippines so I have ample time to watch whenever you post a new one. God Bless You and take care always.
Amazing what a little lawn maintenance will do for curb appeal…great job.!
This is nice. Seeing the brick road and sidewalk can definitely bring a blast from the past to those who remember that.
WOW!!! That beautiful brick completely covered and hiding for YEARS! I also LOVE that brick street! Great work as always "Spence!"
The transformation made this little house stand out loud and proud!😊 Thank you for this video Spencer! 👍
It amazes me how many abandon properties that you do.
Gotta wonder how many of those abandoned properties got buyers after Spencer's work.
Had to giggle at the placement of the sign on the mailbox when the mail carrier obviously comes from the other direction. 🙂
Maybe the note is on both sides??
Maybe but we don't see that side until 4:12 in the video and there isn't one. The one was that was there was gone by the 1:55 mark. Not a big deal, just thought it was kind of cute.
Omg- the sidewalk is just beautiful! What a wonderful yard- you always do such magnificent work!
And I don’t know if you’ll see this, and I don’t know if you do this- but both my father in law and my father (both WWII vets but different branches- Air Force and Army) would sharpen the edge of the shovels that would make them slide through dirt and gravel like a hot knife through butter. Just a suggestion. Keep up the great work- we love you, Spencer!!! 💖🤘🌟
Oh,the sidewalk is like the road. So beautiful I miss those old roads. Great job of uncovering.
Spencer, if there is a machine that will clear those burried sidewalks and walkways, please put a pool up so we can buy you one. The world needs more people like you.
I was thinking that a machine like a sod cutter. Even if it only removes the turf, the soil under it would be easier to remove than sod and dirt.
@@maryexton7929 good idea!
Any machine would probably ruin the bricks. That kind of sidewalk needs to be done by hand.
@@maryexton7929 Definitely for those "sod farms" that some of the sidewalks end up like. But the looser, sandier stuff like this it wouldn't be much of a energy saver. Though there are manual sod cutters that wouldn't do any damage to brick.
@maryexton7929 Any lawn edger can do the same, if you cut in squares. 2 inches may be too deep for the bottom, though.
Cool 😎 cobblestone sidewalk besides the street👌🏽
That place probably hasn't looked THAT good for YEARS!!! Good job Dude!!!!!!
I think I know why I love to watch your channel compared to other mowing channels, you have steps when you do your work, and you do it clean in every steps so it's actually nice to watch a video that so called have a 'story lane', others when they take video it's like a random steps and not that clean, so sometimes it's really hard to watch and I can't enjoy it
It's amazing how much effort you put into these, and they all look great at the end!
Woo hoo SB Mowing Friday 🎉
I've mentioned several times that there is a garden roller brush that has metal spikes on it that attaches to a weed eater and will eliminate all the shoveling that is done to remove grass from sidewalks and street curbs. 😊😊
T.G.I.F. Spencer...you love finding sidewalks 😂😂 U are the MAN!!!! Great job as always!!! Have a great weekend with Mrs. SB.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😉👍😘
TGIF SB Mowing. Great drone aerial footage 👍🏾👍🏾
Spencer, you need to sharpen your chainsaw blade. buy a round file and do it yourself, or buy 3 or 4 chains, and take 2 at a time and have someone sharpen them for you. and please, slow down!!! the mower will cut way freakin better, if you just slow down. 1 pass is more than enough if you slow down and have sharp blades. thanks for all you do!
The shovel work is always the most impressive. I've done some landscaping work like this, just on a much smaller scale, and it will kill your back so quickly.
Dude it's first for me to see a bricked road and sidewalk. Looks so good in red though. Awesome and amazing transformation Spencer brother. After wok the whole house front and backyard looks super cool. God bless you and your family and get good rest and care buddy.
Love watching your videos your a great person for doing yard work for free
wow not only a sidewalk but a brick sidewalk!
Looks to be in good shape, too.
What a beautiful sidewalk! You can tell it was once a majestic home. Thank you for your show of kindness. Blessings ❤
I have watched countless mowing and yard transformation videos and I have to say I like your channel the best. I find it very irritating how some youtubers, when shoveling, they throw all the debris back onto the yard. A little bit is okay or if it's mostly grass, but the dirt and the road gravel is too much. Even after mowing over it, there is still dark spots on the grass. I understand most of it will settle into the lawn but rocks and road debris? You pick up most of what you shovel, I like that, makes a cleaner looking yard. Thank you
So inspirational
My God that is one wide brick sidewalk.
That sidewalk is awesome! It really changes the appearance of the house! They might start putting Mail in the mailbox again!🤣 Thanks for sharing!
You are making a difference. One yard at a time. This has such an impact not only on the home but the entire neighborhood. The brick is lovely. ❤
Good job Spencer just like always, who ever put dat letter on the mail box put it on the wrong side the post man can't see it
How old is this home? I see a brick road and that sidewalk has to be original too
It's sad to see another small empty house with a too big yard. That house looks like 🏡 built in the 1930's.
Loved that you were able to find that brick sidewalk. Awesome video as always!
What a transformation on this yard. It's amazing to see a brick sidewalk under all that dirt and grass. I enjoy watching your videos. You inspire me on the great work you do for the community. Stay healthy and Safe. 😊
Grasscias😂
Spenser, your amazing, it took a few years for that grass to grow over bricks like that, the city should award you with a certificate for new equipment or something really good for all the work that you do around town. You make me happy, so thank you, I enjoy how positive you are.
When I was a child the sidewalks and some of our streets were brick. I remember seeing Cline Brick Company engraved on the bricks. SB you do an amazing job wherever you go...God Bless!
First coment
Nope, SECOND. 😅😆
Spencer the brick sidewalk is beautiful, I'm so happy it's still there. The yard looks so good. God bless you Spencer, God bless your Family. See you next week.
The drone shots always turn out awesome
Spencer you do such Amazing work!! Keep up the great work!!
I know this is strenuous work for you but I really LOVE watching you make things beautiful again! God bless you Spencer!
It looks like a very nice neighborhood with well kept homes and yards. That brick sidewalk is amazing! Thank you for helping this abandoned house fit in a little better.
I really believe that finding, unearthing, and finally revealing sidewalks, driveways, and patios are Spencer's most enjoyable things to do. It's a treasure hunt! If you've ever watched his videos with Kevin and his dad, and Al, then you'll notice that Spencer is always the one uncovering the driveways and sidewalks! Kevin does them, too! It really is a treasure hunt! Great job, Spencer! I'll bet you wish you had your pressure washer with you and a way to make those bricks shine!! You put in an exhausting day, but one with terrific results!! Thanks for showing us this great reveal!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🇨🇱
The sidewalk looks so cool with bricks! " Another great work of art" ❤😊
Spencer, omg, that sidewalk is gorgeous! Great job on bringing this lawn back to life. The neighbors must be thrilled!
Spencer it's always a joy to watch you. You're always so full of energy and positive. Keep it up bro.
Love your before and after clean-ups. Haven't lived in Wichita for many years now, this area looks similar to the College Hill area. I always loved the beautiful older homes. I always wanted a big old house with a wrap around front porch and a swing. Never got that dream, but enjoy watching the transformations all your hard work uncovers. Beautiful job!
Thank you for loving people and communities. You have put in lots of hard labor and time in don't This volunteer work. I wish you all the best for the future.😊
I did not get the impression that this was a full cleanup, from the title of the video but am pleased to see you did a lot of work to set this place back in order and make it an asset to the area. Thank you.
Spencer, i've been binge watching some of your older videos from before i found you and it amazes me how much your reach right attachments improve your posture which i am sure helps save your back from all this heavy duty transformative work you do. Really enjoy your posts keep them coming 😊
What a great find Spencer! The sidewalk is brick and the road as well. Something special about this property. Looks wonderful after your hard work. Thank you for helping as always.
When I saw the sidewalk was brick, I was worried that it was going to be all uneven and you were going to have a hell of a time cleaning it up. I'm glad that wasn't the case (mostly, at least).
Excellent job, as always!
Again, you have shown us what a really good person you are, and what a great LAWN ARTIST you have become!! God bless you always.
