    Super helpful! I wanted to inquire if students will be considered for university general scholarship and the school that I’ve been accepted into? I have been accepted into the Business School, I wanted to know when my classes start this fall, depending on the academic frontier; will I receive more scholarship? If so, please mention the value and what are the criterion?

      If you were accepted for Fall 2021 start, your welcome week would be second week of September and classes would start the third week of September. Everyone that applies to the university automatically gets considered for merit-based scholarship.

      Hello! Are you looking into undergrad or graduate school? We have a bridge program for health science undergraduate majors that will also enter our PA program if they maintain the necessary academic requirements. You can also just apply into the PA program after finishing your undergrad somewhere else.

    Hi Maggie, it’s so lucky to find your channel. I’ve just got accepted to Drexel Westphal as a transfer student in winter quarter 2021 with a financial aid and scholarship award but still have some questions about the aid and how to enroll. What is the best way to ask about all those things and who to contact? I’ve never been to Philadelphia before, so I really need some insight about housing.
    Thank you so much for doing this.

      Hey, I am admitted to Drexel as a transfer student too! I haven’t been to Pennsylvania either. How are you doing with the financial aid? Emails aren’t really effective for me as they take ages to reply. Since the cost of attendance actually varies base on the co-op program, when the whole year with no co-op kick in, you will have to pay up to 78k per year (exclude financial aid) how do you cope with it? And you have to fight for financial aid every year isn’t it? Let me know!

    • @MaggieHo
      @MaggieHo  Pƙed 3 lety

      Hello! It really is case by case regarding your financial aid situation. You will need to contact the school to see if you can get further information regarding that. Rolling admission decisions come out depending on what term you applied for. You can always check the status of your application on the portal and reach out to the office to provide you an estimated timeline.

      Hello! I am very excited for you and your college journey! As of RIGHT NOW, Drexel has a test optional policy due to COVID but I am unsure if that will still be the case for the next cohort of students. You will have to keep up with Drexel's admissions website for the most accurate news on that! and YES! We have a Sports Management Major in our Business School!!

    Maggie,
    I have just been admitted as a transfer student, but the tuition is 78K (without room and board) I was offered 29K in scholarships. What happens to students who cannot attend because of cost?

    • @MaggieHo
      @MaggieHo  Pƙed 2 lety

      Hi Jaime, thank you for watching my videos! We usually advise students to consider academic fit, social fit, and financial fit when choosing a university. This includes looking into your merit scholarship and aid to determine if it would be a good financial fit to attend. You can also consider if you want to take out loans, if you are holding a part-time job, if you'll participate in Co-op, and if you are applying/will receive outside scholarships.

    • @rachelfoongwaikei25
      @rachelfoongwaikei25 Pƙed 2 lety

      Hey! I am admitted to as transfer student as well. With co-op, the tuition will probably be decreased to 40k, things I would like to know is that, the cost varies different years depending on whether it’s full year school study or with co-op program. When there is a year without co-op program, how are you going to pay for the tuition. 78k is simply impossible. Not to mention the rental, food and expenses are excluded. Let me know if you hear from the financial team too, writing them emails is going to take ages, but I am an international student, so I won’t be able to call them directly.

      So does Drexel University have out of state tuition? I saw that there’s tuition for international students on the official website so I’m wondering if it has out of state tuition
      And do students that chose medical field get scholarships in the first year as a freshman? If they do is it in addition to all of the scholarships you mentioned? Also is this scholarship guarantee for students that chose nursing/medical majors?
      Also if my family is considered low-income will css consider giving more compared to others?

      Hello!
      All students are considered for merit-based scholarships when applying to Drexel! So one way to maximize your scholarship opportunities is by taking rigorous classes and doing well and doing well on your SAT scores!
      We also have a lot of scholarships on our website you can check out and apply to if you believe you qualify for them!
      One last thing is that Drexel University's Liberty Scholarship is now NATIONWIDE! Which is really cool! This is a full-tuition scholarship for students with demonstrated need. You can apply to this scholarship via our website as well.
