- Because today is extra special, we are making a classic Pinoy al fresco dish-Grilled Bangus with Ensaladang Talong by the beach. To kick things up a notch, I served it with Grilled Watermelon. Goma is really a gentleman..i met him when i was like 8 or 9 years old. They were shooting in our Chinese restaurant. I had the chance to say hi to him. He patted my head and said, "big girl huh" and there was just a positive vibe about him. That was almost 30 years ago!
Richard is really a family man and you can see how he adores his wife and his daughter. He loves to serve his family. So admirable. He is so different during his younger years. You wouldn’t expect he will turned out into a very respectable and admirable man of the house.
They are so loving, gentle, respectful to each other. They are a blessing to each other, and Juliana is more prettier, she’s learning a lot of cooking from dad Richard. Lucy is a natural beauty inside and out. They’re a beautiful family to emulate .

I have been doing all my life and use the shiny side of aluminum foil when cooking foods wrapped with aluminum foil, the shiny side should be down, facing the food, and the dull side up. This is because the shiny side is more reflective and so will reflect more of the radiant heat than the duller side. But newer sources said it doesn’t make any difference. Avoid aluminum @ all cost one source of cancer desease. That fish and any food will taste a lot more better if you just cooked it in layers of banana leaf, one layer can stand 15 to 30 mins defending on the extremity of the coal fire

I will make this Japanese eggplant salad from our backyard organic vegetable patch. This year we harvested a lot,so prolific. No chemical fertilizers since we used all the organic compost from our kitchen.
I do have big bangus in our freezer right now and will do the same, stuff grilled bangus wrapped in banana leaves. It gives that distinct smoky flavors to the fish. Kamayan with bagoong LoL

Sarap! Watching from California. I miss the Pinoy food. Inihaw na bangus with stuffing, inihaw na talong na kahalo ng salad. Glad din ang gamit ko sa kitchen. I learned about the ihaw- ihaw. Balutin muna ng dahong saging ang bangus bago ibalot ng Glad aluminum foil. Magandang panlinis ng chopping board ang hydrogen peroxide para maaalis ang lansa ng isda. Thanks, Goma! Beautiful family!
