Even professionals score on themselves. Now I don't feel so bad.
It’s a big part of the game, at least half, right? 😂
read the name of the guy in the white shirt
Jsjjsjsjs wtf bro it's his last name?@@OGaasadgaming
Indeed! Haha
bro youtube suggested this to me. i'm enticed
Same 😂
I would have let my opponent get his glasses. I wouldn't want to win like that
I had to come looking for, my Al gore rhythm is off
Bro, I searched for it
Same bruh
A hammy in air hockey is absolutely insane 😂
Thems the breaks...needed to hydrate more 😂
yeah i lold and immediately scrolled down
@centerlineproairhockey more beer or soda.
The thing I love about games like this is that you might wander into a sports bar and potentially play the world's #1 and never know it. Everyone can be a hero.
That reminds me of when our company was bought by a larger org, that had locations around the world. During our first all hands meeting, we discovered a few locations had some pretty serious fossbal players (while at a pub during the event). Shortly after that, most locations had bought a table or two, and the next global meeting we had a tournament. While none of us were "pros" the games were intense, and made for some proper team building or rivalries.
I'm pretty sure it'd be very obvious very quickly that your opponent is a top-tier player.
@@jeffe2267 because he smashes the puck off the table every 5 seconds?
Homeboy pulled a hammy in air hockey!😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Clutching his hamstring" I've seen it all😂
This has to be one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen torn ACL’s in disc golf and that’s understandable, but an injury in air hockey??? 🤣🤣🤣🫡
This can happen when athletes at the highest echelons of sporting push their bodies to the limits of human capacity
@@MPHshoots How are you confused? They use a lot of fast twitch movements and drive thrust through their legs. It's literally exactly how muscle injuries happen.. Literally look at the actions they're making in front of you and apply logic instead of reading the words air hockey and instantly assuming idiotic things.
Yeah those hammies haven’t got action in a while
Best CZcams recommendation all year. Great match.
I can't believe I watched all of it. I thought I had good reflexes....
I love sports like this, air hockey, chase tag, paintball, all of that stuff. You get people playing because they love it. The passion, the emotion, the tension, the drama is all as compelling as it gets. There's something about the big league jaded athlete making more per game than most people make in a year, in an arena or ballpark or stadium where a seat can cost as much as some people make in a week that has soured me on those sports. I'd much rather watch something like this these days. It's always more entertaining and it's fun to check out something different for a change. Everyone involved here did a great job. I'm paused at the start of the 3rd set here, so time to unpause it and see how the rest of this unfolds. Cheers friends.
Our sentiments as well. Check out the Showdown we just did. You may really enjoy it. It was a livestream but we are releasing each match individually as well - first one is here:

Ehhh don’t put paintball in this category. Paintball is more betterer
@@jaymay7957more betterer? i don’t disagree but go learn some english then try to express an opinion
Whoever decided to create actual professional sports leagues with old school boys club and playground games is an absolute genius.
I think I need an anime of air hockey now
Got introduced to those kinda sports with the dodgeball world championship and added chase tag, massage world championship (this one was relaxing af), air dodgeball, tug of war and fistball to the list.... something about those competitions is so inspiring, like the passion is electrifying
M A S S A G E championship...
this feeling like the superbowl now. very fun stuff. new sport to me. great job folks
whole thing had me surprisingly hooked! makes me not wanna overlook the air hockey table next time i see one
Did he really say the Jacob (red) was also in fantastic physical shape? 10:10
Whats so strange about that comment?
@@BEATFLOODI’m guessing you’re Jacob
You may not like it but this is what fantastic physical shape for air hockey is.
A top notch specimen!
i mean look at everyone else 😂
To be fair this is the USA right? So Jacob is in the top 5% of fittest people in America.
Props to Colin, he defended and attacked b4 my eyes could even see them.
First time viewer of professional air hockey. I’m fired up and about to run through a brick wall.
Lol
The commentary in this video has me weak 😂😂
If my oponent were to loose his glasses, i would alow him to pick them up. I could not be happy winning this way
Time stamp?

The final point
@@JJ-hp6mb 41:30
I'm guessing by that point that his glasses were becoming an obstacle for him anyway. He frequently adjusts them in the last game, so I'm thinking they were probably sweaty and falling off of his face as it was.
GG's to both players. Colin plays so fast it blows my mind.
Pulled a hammy in air hockey
lol, yeah, the guys do contort themselves super fast at times. You wouldn't think it would happen, but it's more physical than you realize with fast twitch muscles.
Great job commentary! 👏
Awesome video. Colin's transition game was so absurd -- I had to go back and watch portions of the match frame by frame to track his movement.
He’s a fast dude for sure! Quick twitch muscles are essential in being the best at Air Hockey. Also, it’s about intuitively understanding where the puck is moving so you can get out ahead of it.
I swear I just found ESPN 8
Great production !
He said "he's very physically fit" LMAO i'm dead
😛😛😛
WOWWW SOO CLOSE! GRATS BOTH
there’s no way his hammy cramped up in a air hockey game💀💀💀💀
W comments all around bro 😂😂😂😂
What a final! Great content
Agreed!
Bleachers at Air Hockey! Awesome! Nice to hear it's still a thing.
Guy played so hard he almost injured his leg
I'm sold on it 🔥
The algorithm delivers once more
Didnt even know this was a thing. Had my heart pounding. Lol
I don’t want to make a mistake: both these dudes are masters. But *at peak* Colin seems to possess an otherworldly, savant quality in how he constructs some shots. Jacob’s approach seems entirely different, playing more aggresively and therefore with more chances to score, but not as surgical.
They do play very different styles. That’s one of the most interesting things about high end Air Hockey. So much variation in styles and attacks.
SALUDOS DESDE MEXICO 🇲🇽..ATTE. ANDRES ALEMANY. MANOS RAPIDAS, MULTITALENTO. LINDA NOCHE...!
True Gentleman would let him pick up his glasses.
Onde existe este tipo de competição?
Este evento foi em Houston, Texas, nos Estados Unidos, mas há jogadores ativos em todo o mundo. Compartilhe os vídeos e saiba mais.
We need slo mo replay! Nm i see it now
That "right wall over is necessary in the modern era" 😂
Truer words have never been spoken 😂😂😂
Wow never knew it was a thing.
I could actually compete.
This was my first time watching Air Hockey. What a game!
Glad you discovered us :)
Played a lot as a kid. No idea it was competitive.
Imagine hitting the money line parlay on this
What size table are they playing on?
8' X 4' - which is the standard for competitive tables.
I pulled a groin at the darts regionals back in '93....so I can relate to the fellow in red.
(very late new comment) yeah I stumbled onto this video and I gotta say compare to these guys my free games i play i would have no chance to go pro lol
😅
How is posession determined after the ouck flies off the table? I cant seem to find a pattern. Sometimes it seems like it goes back to whoever had last controlled posession, but then other times it seems like it goes to the other person. But it doesnt alternate...
How does it work?
When a puck flies off, the player who gets possession is the one who made the last defensive strike on it. Whoever made the last offensive strike loses possession. Offensive and defensive strikes are determined by whether the mallet is moving forward (offensive) or sideways/backwards (defensive).
@@centerlineproairhockey sweet! Did not expect a reply, especially so quick. Thanks!
When you say "world" championship, how many countries participated?
Awesome!
That’s right tough guy!
You really need to put a flashing lights warning on this
Or maybe a warning that says “extremely fast exciting action!” 😉
What a great point at 13:28!!!
I've learned about this being a real thing just today. This is cool
Welcome aboard!
What do you do for a living? Oh I'm a professional air hockey commentator 😂
You cut me to the quick...😩
How is this not on the level of Darts yet?
Because it's not a suitable for an audience. The puck moves so fast you don't see it when they shoot. Also, this get very repetitive after a while. :)
Where is he at I'm coming for the title.
I honestly think I could compete at this game at a professional level. I have played a bunch but never seen the way that the professionals play, but now that I have I think I really have a shot at it
You have every chance to prove that. We offer an open $1000 challenge. Defeat the channel’s own Jacob Weissman in a 4 of 7 set and we will hand you $1000 cash. We get to record it and we promise to post it - win or lose. You can also join the community on Facebook and find player groups to join - The Centerline Pro Air Hockey Group.
No way this is what pros look like. I thought they would have more advanced techniques. Like is this new? Like did being pro at this just become a thing?
We have a standing challenge - you win $1000 cash by defeating Jacob Weissman a set 4 of 7 games. We would genuinely love to find a great player no one in the Air Hockey world ever knew existed. Be that one!
@@centerlineproairhockeyI want him next. Where is this located
@@tallabandz23 Come to Houston. We will record you playing a match against Jacob. Win or lose, we will post it. If you win, you get $1000 cash.
love love love this gauntlet drop@@centerlineproairhockey
What exactly were you expecting them to do? Ever notice nba players don’t do moves like the Harlem globetrotters? It’s because fancy moves often look pretty but aren’t practical
Can't remember Jacob's Dad's name, but I remember he won every national--- until he got married! Lol!.
I won one more after marriage :). Jacob was in my wife’s womb listening to the clack of the puck.
Did that dude just strain his hamstring playing air hockey?!?🤣🤣🤣
Mfer pulled a hamstring playing air hockey😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 wwwww comment
Dude i had no idea this was a thing
so what countries participated?
All countries but only Americans play it lol, I actually think there’s been 2 times in air hockey history where a non American won
It's on espn 8, the ocho.
awesome! Colin is the best
This is fucking awesome
….i wanna be apart of this how do i be apart of this

Sooooo good. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
i feel bad for Collins last name 😔
Out here catching hammy pulls in the mean game of air hockey
Gotta hydrate! 😜
Gotta stay hydrated
😂😂😂
“Awh dude, nah it’s the hammy!”
😂
Did my guy just f up his leg by air hockey😂
Who else got this randomly recommended, and initially thought the blue shirt dude was one of the competitors??
2:08 dang, dangerous spectator sport!!!
How sure are you that he wasn't? 😜
Why is it called World Championship if it happens only in the US and there are only Americans in it? 😂
If you send knucklebusters, the goals keep getting easier
That only works against beginners who don’t hold the mallet correct. 😎
My toxic trait is that I think I could do this. 😂
esperaba ver algo mas espectacular...
I watch this only to bet my friends at school because we have an air hockey table
No better reason to learn how to win than to crush your friends 🤣
The crowd goes wild.
But honestly though.. This was pretty fun.
We agree :)
this is some real espn the ocho stuff.
I couldn't believe there was a hamstring accident, in air hockey?!
We live in a wild wild world!
@@centerlineproairhockey I guess so! CZcams recommended me this lol but now I've seen it all lol great game though!
I'm too invested after seeing a clip on yt shorts
Welcome to our world 😎
How big and popular is air hockey against other sports? Or is it just like crokinole a sport which only popular in one country?
Didn’t know this was an actual thing
Brought to you by ESPN-8 "The Ocho"
Actually we were on The Ocho. 😂
There seemed to be a few times where Colin's shirt may have made contact with the table surface, and changed the play. Is it time to implement a roadbike racer like outfit requirement? Just kidding.
As long as it doesn’t touch the puck it’s ok.
@@centerlineproairhockey The level of skill that these people have, really take this from a "game" to a "sport". I've always enjoyed seeing people who are doing things at a level that is so far above what a typical person doing the thing is.
First tennis now air hockey. Bring it on algorithm.
And....you are welcome 😂
I didn't think it could get worse than bowling and darts. I was wrong. What's next, professional paper football?
The horror!
True athletes right here their training routine must be intense
You have no idea! It’s rigorous beyond comprehension 🤪
I would have expected more like ping pong like gameplay.🤔
This is pretty cool but Foosball is the best and the top players don’t mess around.
foosball's the devil
This is boxing bre?
Watched a Mark Rober Short. Figured I looked at a tournament game.
Interestingly, Mark Rober had decent tips for playing Air Hockey on his video.
Pulling a hamstring is exactly something I’d expect from pro air hockey players😂
He needs to hydrate better 🤣
So I guess the pro's don't hold the thing (don't even know what it's called) right in front of the goal. Maybe that makes it easier to catch the puck.
They hold the mallet behind the knob to get more range of motion and more power on shots. ;)
@@centerlineproairhockey yep, learned that when i was 13
What a brave tough man. To continue to play with a hammy injury. Man I thought Isiah Thomas playing and scoring over 20 points in one period on a broken ankle in NBA playoffs was something. MAN!!! Dude is a hero!
But, you enjoyed watching it. 🙂
And people hate on pickleball....
Question: does this game have a room for foul or cheating?
Fouls exist. You can not put your mallet on top of the puck to stop it. Whoever makes the last offensive strike on the puck before it flies off commits a foul and possession goes to the opponent. You can not strike a puck if it is fully across the centerline. You can not touch the puck with anything other than your mallet. All these are fouls.
