My uncle and I built a go kart when I was a kid. One of the best childhood memories I have! Every kid needs an uncle like you, keep up the good work! Oh, and make him wear a helmet, all the time!

Sweet weld on the pipe!
yeah, that made it super easy to have it pre bend and just cut in one spot and weld it to the flange.

If you use an air nozzle on one side of the handlebar then the grip will go on the other side without lube.Great rebuild and video.

Amazing but the wheels are too small
Last summer I visited my brother in another State and we did a LOT of yard work for our mother. His rototiller tires were flat and dry rotted, so we bought new ones. I was really struggling to mount them when the idea hit me to turn the tiller on its side (carb up!) and use the axel to hold the rim. After that it was a snap. Stay safe!
Cool bike build looks great i hv to mk a vid of mine i painted it green even the rims, and added a 212cc preditor engine. So its super fast can barely keep it down.

I got a fuel tank from a Coleman ct200u. It bolts right up and puts the cap on the side that sticks out.

I just ordered the Mega Moto 212cc, I'm guessing the stage 1 kit would be an .exact fit for this bike. Would you happen to know their Grant? Wonder if the carb inlets are the same size.
Yeah all those carbs and exhausts fit the stage 1 kit.

Yeah I just pull the dipstick and tip it over (slowly) to drain old oil. Drain plug is a PITA
What did you do after you started it? Looks like you screwed something in the back, i dont know but it made the engine sound smoother sorry 😅
Idle speed screw. It’s a black plastic screw on top of the carburetor. Adjusts idle speed.

Hey there in trying to get by cheap as i can do i actually need another motor mount the put the 212cc in. What all do i need to get by cheap as i can
1/8" steel plate, a drill, 5/16" drill bit, a square, a tape measure, and a welder.

I have a small 100 cc engine I have a straight pipe exhaust for it but I want to know if it's ok to replace the stock exhaust without adding a aftermarket air filter and jets

People get mad for me riding 250cc in the homey area but I don't actually give 2 shits, I'm enjoying life and their can sit on their ass yelling :)

Instead of getting a mounting plate for the engine to lift it to fit it, do you think a wood block would work?
maybe, but then wood wont hold up like steel does. There are mounting plates you just can bolt on for alignment in both the side to side and forward and backward directions.

i usualy put 40lbs in my tires they seem to last longer then required air lb on tire.
That seems like a lot of pressure. I’m not sure the tires are built for that.
it is but i ride my bike on the street /dirt & weigh 200 lbs so got to make thos ties roll easier Lol.

Is it ok the have a gap in the clutch ? I have the same exact setup and the bolt that holds the clutch to the axle, in between had play in it. Do I just add more washers?
I don’t have the same clutch , I have a 35 chain and matching clutch from tractor supply.
You can prevent side to side movement with washers.
KartFab ok I thought so, thank you! Just wanted to do everything right. And the bolt is a 5/16 fine thread to hold it on correct? I’m going from the 80 to the 212 so it’s a different bolt as you know unfortunately

uhh, its just like removing the stock one, just the complete oposite....duh.

A 18hp seams to fit nicely
18 hp needs some chopping. It won’t clear the top of the frame. My Honda gx390 stroker barely fits.

Hmm that’s asking a lot for a little $$ I usually put $300 into a go kart frame after buying just a used roller. Good luck!

I have around $250 into my manco Phoenix eagle ii I have $75ish in my tires got a free cluch a $100 212 frame for $35 $20 in chain and $10-20 in nuts and bolts it sounds like a lawnmower (not for long I plan to put a straight pipe on it). All it needs is to be sand blasted, painted, and some touch up welds to get ready to sell/trade it goes about 25-30 the price depends on the deal you find people you know and how much time you are willing to put in to one

doesnt need it with the heavier chain (420 chain)

@@KartFab I have a monster moto mini bike with a 212cc predator like your video. I have a a #41 clutch and chain. Can I get a #41 sprocket for the back wheel to make it all fit? Thanks again for all your help and great videos!
@@zigzagpattywag1449 yeah the link is in the description for the sprocket they are aluminum sprockets and just bolt on to the existing back wheel.

if you read the description of the sprocket I linked to, you would notice that it says 41/420 chain.

That minibike isn’t going to last even a year because that minibike is meant for engines four horse power and under and if you try putting a 7 hp engine it’s too much weight for the frame which will end up breaking and cracking overtime
I’m 240 lbs and put a 10 hp engine on one....
well, that minibike in your profile pic says otherwise...
