I think when you look at the injuries that Schalk Burger came back from, and the intensity he played with, from the first minute to the very end, there’s no one that comes close to him. When he was on the field, it was like having two players in one, so the opposing team felt like they were playing against 16 men. The best part about Schalk is that off the field, he’s humble and extremely down to earth.
Jerome Kaino was a phenomenal rugby player, and for that reason, Springbok fans all over South Africa have the greatest of respect for him. And the same goes to all those other All Black legends! There is NO SUCH THING as a weak All Black team.

It's a testimony to him as a player that no one has really made the AB no 6(no 7 in SA) jersey their own since Kaino retired from international rugby in 2017. Who can forget the wonderful clashes Schalk burger had first with Jerry Collins and then Kaino. Everything about All Black rugby over the past 25 years, has been remarkable. But it’s their loose-forward play/players that have proven to be in a league of their own and, in my opinion, sets them apart from the rest. Their ability to understand loose-fwd play (rules at the breakdowns/tackle, combinations, go-fwd drive, clean up, ball retention and recycling, fwds/backs/fwds linking, turnover, channels, adaptability, etc.), are unrivalled.

As a Saffer, I find it interesting that the NZ mentality to enforcer is that it's a comedy nickname. Like you got it just for doing your job right (hitting tackles and rucks hard, getting over the gainline).
In SA you get that label and you have to be rough, 'scary', inevitably have to injure someone, probably be carded.

Spring Bok game plan same as The Hulk, that is Hulk smash so Spring Bok thinks I'm green too so me smash as well. Bok game plan historically, Step 1. : 8 huge men crush everything then pushover tries, Step 2. Pass ball to Van Du Placsee (or someone similar) to kick Penalty, Drop Goal, or for position if inside own 22 line. Note, all penalties outside own 22 are aimed at goal posts. Step 3. : Pass ball to Winger 1 or 2 who are the fastest humans in South Africa (note, this happens 2 times max. per game).

Burger in my opinion was a thug, inexcusable when he eye gouged Luke Fitzgerald when s Africa played the lions, there has been tougher and better players than him in back rows over the years and none of them ever eye gouged anybody.willie O, tutai kefu,Jerry Collins,P.Omahoney to name a few.

Retired Rugby players like this interviewer ALWAYS use 1000 words when a few would do . If Eben Etzebeth had got hold of jm he wouldn't be able to say Enforcer . Jerome on the OTHER Hand is A Former ALL BLACK (All ways A All Black) . Was always GOING to pick AUSTRALIA AND SOUTH AFRICA .
