I have one and love it. Moved three refrigerators up and down stairs. Setting item on the dolly takes a second to lift and the dolly does the rest of the work so its a small price to pay.

Most homes will usually have either the bungee or ratchet straps to secure something like this and are usually very inexpensive. Although it would be nice to have loops on the side to hook into on a unit like this.

The big problem i see with this system is you still need to exert a lot to place the load in the dolly. That leave items like a fridge or a washing machine off limits unless you have a second person to help you do it.

Can you do same idea machine for postworkers to go down the stairs with less noisy at three am ? Put one tractorband on a kickboard. When going up, they use lift, but down they go usyally with the stairs when sharing mail from door to door, So they could use light weight kickboard with tractorband and brakes to slide down the stairs easy and with less noise.
