Up until 16:40 I did everything exactly like this. The boot selection was the problem. If I remember correctly it said it was not a bootable device.
Then, on my laptop, I used a different flash drive (16 gb) to do the ISO option. When I tried to boot the desktop with that flash drive it said "the pc specs don't match the specs used to create the ISO file."
I then downloaded hirens on a 3rd USB (32 gb). I successfully booted the desktop to Hiren's. I used Hiren's to download windows media creation tool onto the first flash drive (after hard reformatting it.) I downloaded it onto the flash drive. When i tried to run the setup on the flash drive it said there was an error and that I was missing a file. I repeated this process a few times.
After following a few online guides on how to fix that exact error code, I had no success. So I tried the ISO option (this time creating it while on hirens on the desktop. My hope was that the pc specs would match the specs of the pc that created the ISO file this time.
I got the same error about missing a file.
It was that failure to boot of the USB that was the issue. Unfortunately they don't make that setting really clear in the bios settings, certainly not in my machine as you see in the video. There really is no indication that F8 on my boot screen is the boot option selection screen. Check, if you can the bios set up manual for your computer and see if they explain how to set it to boot from USB. Thanks again.
