Word of advice: it would be a good idea to use a thinner piece of rubber and gluing it to a piece of wood. This would make it so that the pressure is more evenly distributed, leading to a more even print-out.

Thank you for such a precise and informative video. So many others babble on endlessly about every thought, opinion, comparisons, etc that I get lost in actually learning anything. Thank you!

Nice! Word to the wise, never cut toward your hand or fingers...hold the opposite side of the cube neastest your body, and cut away from your body/hand/fingers. It only takes a one time occurrence of a slip of the tool to teach you how sharp the tool really is.

I was just about to write the very same thing. Learned my lesson when I was 12 yo Lino cutting.. 4 stitches between my thumb and forefinger!!! Personally I think you should update the video especially as you are giving instructions to beginners!

Out of pure curiosity, (from someone whose little experience comes from making rubber stamps back in art class and using silicone ones as a hobby since)
Is it possible to do the this by inverting the design and then using it as a mould for silicone? I've found them to be more hardy and reliable than rubber usually.
Don't know if I'd try it, but I can't help but wonder... Or would the silicone mix and rubber react poorly?

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe some double sided tape, with some sticky removed by rubbing on cloth? I usually spread just a touch of TomBow (green top) glue on bought stamps and let dry. Seems to help a lot.
