    What up Car People.
    In this video I will show you how to remove the clutch restrictor pull in the clutch slave cylinder of the Evo X. The Clutch Pill slows down the engagement of the clutch giving an inconsistent shifting feel.
    I will also be bleeding the clutch hydraulic system. Removing the clutch pill has greatly improved the shifting experience in my Evo X. Engagement is more predictable and pleasant feeling.

    I considered removing this but I didn't want to put the stress on the rest of the drive train... when I do gnarly launches.

    Cool video, very informative.
    I picked up a 2009 lancer 2.0 non turbo. Hate how the clutch feels, very unpredictable biting point, sort of sucks the fun out of driving it. Is the slave cylinder the same as on the evo x?

    As a proud evo x owner would want to see your differencial fluid change to an upgraded brand like redline..🤙🏼

    • @TheMostAriel
      @TheMostAriel  Před 6 lety

      I did fluids when I got the car. I believe the rear diff has the mitsubishi stuff but I don’t remember clearly. I got the cocktail from map performance and some oem fluid. Some of it was redline brand. May do a video on it anyway wouldn’t hurt.

      Joe Mazzurco Tranny takes 1 MT90, 1 and 3/4 MTL, transfer case takes almost a quart of SAE 90 LSD rear diff takes the same, rear torque transfer takes over half a quart of SP3 .... just did all fluids when i did my clutch check out my insta evo.x.ben

    So this improves the feel of that biting point by making it more predictable and consistent?

    What type of brake fluid are you using on your system?

  • @jacobhoward7093
    @jacobhoward7093 Před 6 lety +1

    Yo I did this and it felt like my clutch was slipping. Any idea why?

    • @TheMostAriel
      @TheMostAriel  Před 6 lety

      Maybe you didn’t bleed the system properly. Bleed it again and make sure the level is right.

      The Most Ariel I figured it out, turns out my hypochondria was acting up and it wasn’t slipping at all lol. Thanks for the reply tho! Love your videos

    Will this shit cause my clutch to slip?

  • @26torpedo
    @26torpedo Před 5 lety +1

    I’m new to bleeding brakes, but did you pretty much just top off the brake reservoir, then suck in more from the one person bleeder bottle?

    • @TheMostAriel
      @TheMostAriel  Před 5 lety

      The tube connected to the bleeder screw is partially submerged under fluid. When you press the clutch fluid gets pushed out the open bleeder. That creates a vacuum but because your bleeder tube is submerged in fluid it will suck in fluid rather than air. Each pump should push out fluid and air while sucking in fluid. Watch your fluid level every few pumps. The bottle is small and your system will drain faster than it sucks in fluid. \m/

      @26torpedo Před 5 lety

      The Most Ariel Oh ok gotcha. I’m guessing this is an alternative to bleeding out each brake?
