There actually is a way to determine where you are with the counter.
The first time you do it, it just shows the hour glass
The second time you do it, a clock appears behind it
And then the third time, a blue-ish aura appears around it

Geras is becoming my second main. He’s such A blast
As a person who plays Geras a lot in MK1, I wouldn’t recommend as a starting character when learning and picking up the game, he takes a lot of hours of practice to learn him. He is way way more complicated than MK11 Geras but he can do some meaty damage
Oh ya he can do some crazy stuff in general
You can do significant damage without labbing too much, pick a good kameo and you're good to go.

My friends I have just found my main for MK1. He’s not easy to use but he has the sauce.
He’s got SAUCE
a pretty easy combo you can also incorporate for a 353 damage combo is: F2,4,2, exBF1, D2, 1,2,2, grab

@amberleaf4740 @onestep there’s a visual counter if you look closely at the clock in the background when you enhance the time stop. Once the hand reached “12:00” then time resumes again. Hope this helps

My friend is a scorpion main, have you found a good counter for that?
@caydenshambeau95 just block high and rush down. His only low attack is unsafe up close, so don't let yourself get caught at midscreen
I’ve been practicing Geras for about two days now… not playing him, practicing him. It takes a while to get his crazy combos and setups but if y’all stick with this character the reward is so worth it

Ok so on that combo where its D2 to D2 do you have to have stay crouching at the end to keep it going?
No, once the D2 hits, the opponent will go flying once time stop is over and you can dash and continue
I have been trying to do some geras combos which involves doing time stop during the combos and can’t get the ability to activate, is there recommended settings for me to use or what.
an example is doing back1-2-back-foward-1 in that combo time stop doesn’t activate, or really any that involves time stop for me
You have to enhance the BF1 for it to do time stop
Can someone explain the D,F2,DF2 combos? Is the first D dash in this situation? Like I tried just doing a juggle with F2 into DF2 and it just wiffs.
D is dash when alone but when with other letters is DOWN as in down forward 2
The D2 D2 on time stop has horrific scaling and is a relic from MK11.

Why no kameo combos!?
Cuz there’s so many kameos, I couldn’t include all of em. It’s best to do a foundational guide for the character as a whole and let players decide what kameo to use depending on play style

Command grab? DF2 or DB2. Normal grab is just the grab button
