    so youre saying dont go side to side you go straight up and down with the buffer? How does it hit the edge of the wall where edger marks are if it hits a 3 oclock.

    Could you tell me what the motor plate says as far as rpms are concerns.. All the ones I see to rent say 1700 rpms on the motor..But I thought one looks for a machine that only spins around 170 to 400 rpms? Thanks

      The Clarke in which is being used is in fact a 175 RPM. The Bonakemi flexisand buffer is also 175 RPM. In the wood flooring industry when it comes to buffing whether that be screening raw wood or between coats, it's about finesse and not aggression. 175 is pretty much the standard RPM in hardwood floor refinishing. With RPMS as high as what you are describing being 1700, that would be the speed of a burnisher for cleaning hard surface floors with chemicals and should have no business being on a hardwood floor for any reason.
