The update also revamped the audio quality. Before, you had to turn it up to like 25 or more to get any decent sound. Now you can have it down at like 5 or 6 and it sounds amazing. That was my major complaint about the car. A Bose stereo that sounded like shit. Over-the-air update completely fixed it.
I should make a video for my N. Every bolt on possible + tuned and it rips. Driven 3 hours for 9 hour track days in the hottest summer days, no issues. Love that I can drive home like an NPC after. Glad yours is treating you well, get a stage 1, night and day and no worries.
I’d love to see some videos on it! I think the best part about the N products is they are legitimately made for the track and really don’t have any issues like other “track cars” like cooling or braking. The Type R and Corolla GR have some issues pushing them hard on the track. Not the EN though!
You can do whatever you like but I had a 2.0 direct injected turbo engine running fine at 122k miles with 9000 mile oil change intervals. It'll save you money and lessen the waste of resources.
Subbed! I’m heavily considering getting one of these once I graduate from college. I’m interested to see how it lasts as a regular daily driver, but it seems like it’s holding up pretty well. Kinda nervous to buy one without the dealer warranty but we’ll see.
Been watching your videos here and there and now gonna subscribe. I currently own a 2019 Civic Type R FBO. Some people are calling me crazy but I want to trade it in for for 22-23 or even 2024 Elantra N in DCT. I've seen many videos of yours and others and I'm sold!
Well, if it makes you feel any better, a lot of people will think you’re crazy for buying a Hyundai regardless of what car you currently own ha ha. I am curious though why you’d want to move on from your FK8, especially if it’s FBO? Do you have issues with it or are you just wanting to move to an automatic?
@n-power-automotive main reason is still wanting something sporty but in Automatic form. Something that's not gonna hurt my pockets like the markups of the FL5 and ITS. Even then, I can't get those in automatic. At 36 years old, I've had plenty of vehicles, and all of them were stick shift except one. The DCT seems just so perfect 👌 and did I mention the exhuast! That's how the other cars I've mentioned should of came from the factory.
@@luisarreguin2202makes sense. Those are exactly the same reasons I went with the Elantra N. I still can’t believe how good the DCT is almost on a daily basis.
It was only late last year at the N festival here in South Australia. He told us they have tried the 2.5 in the en and it fits and they're the plans. Nothing has indicated this isn't happening. The sedan will continue well into the middle of this decade and will remain the only petrol N car that will see a new generation after this current facelift.
@@mharro88 he definitely mentioned it before then. I’ll have to do some digging to find the article/video I read/heard him say the 2.5 was the next Gen motor.
It warms up pretty fast really, but I also don’t let it sit idling to get to temp like a lot of people do in the winter. I start driving it after about 15-20 seconds, once the RPMs drop to around 1,000 RPM. I’d say it gets to full temp after about 5 - 10 minutes of driving. The DCT is a little finicky for the first couple minute or two. It has a slight feeling of the clutches slipping and harder, more pronounced downshifts which you’ll feel the most when coming to a stop, but that’s all very typical of any dual clutch transmission.
I think your HVAC might be caused by a closed vent. I had that issue and turns out some of the vents are closed by my friend on the passenger side causing the sound in your video
Might need to have it checked by the dealership then, It was still under warranty when I had it checked on mine so it should be for you as well. Hope it is resolved soon! @@n-power-automotive
@@n-power-automotive I'm assuming you don't get the "uneven pavement" notification popping up every 5 seconds? I was getting that constantly and turns out the only way to fix that was to update the car lol
My forge intake and inlet are waiting in the garage for me to install. Do you think Hyundai would give us a hard time for any warranty work if we have an intake on?
It would be illegal for them to deny warranty coverage. An exception could be made if they found clear evidence you damaged the engine because the intake was not installed correctly and unfiltered air over time was the obvious cause. I blew up a 1.6T on a Tork tune, leaned out due to the factory fuel line kinking under load. I had an intake, muffler delete, blow off valve and I put the factory map back on. Kia replaced the shortblock under warranty, no questions asked. I left the factory map on it and all mods until I sold it. Hyundai dealers are little less ghetto than Kia so there's that.
@@n-power-automotive interesting, I got the exact same wheel and tires as you, I love the look of them however, I’ve had three of the tires replaced as well, and they’ve been rebalanced three times and I’m still having issues, I get noticeable vibrations in my steel steering wheel above 60

Definitely eying one of these, hoping to find some good deals on used ones or new old stock once the facelift ships
Good luck. Good deals on new cars are hard to come by nowadays.

On your radio do you have the old style radio tubes or 70s style receiver the last update removed it on the Kona N.
